right now you are 168 and carrying 30 pounds of fat. So your lean mass is 138. You would need to be 162# of lean mass to be 180 @ 10%. you are going to have to add 22 pounds of lean mass. Not saying it can't be done. Overeem added 30 pounds a year, so you might want to consider a quality protein like horsemeat.

Thanks for doing the math for me. (Half serious.)
The question of how much lean mass (which one must remember doesn't mean muscle only, but also water and glycogen) the human body can generate in a week, or a month, or a year is one that I've been doing a lot of research on and honestly it's hard to draw any definitive conclusions. Some sources claim you can hope for a 12-15 lb gain in lean mass per YEAR. However, the book I'm having to study for my personal trainer cert gives guidelines on achieving a lean mass gain of 1-2 lbs per week and a lot of other sources also site 1-2 pounds as realistic goal.
So I dunno. At this point I just plan to play it by ear. The first step is to get to 180. I'll either then make the decision to continue bulking or I'll cut down to 10% BF and afterward work by way back up.Last edited by SPX; 03-01-2013, 01:40 AM.I heart cockComment

It sucks we weren't able to meet up, but the expo sucks ass. Too many dumb people and too many douchebags. You can't see anything either like the comps because it is so crowded. I will be here till Monday am....tomorrow I am going to my training partners meet which is like 10 min from thhe (so I have heard) and Sunday idk what we are doing. Downfall of this trip is that I don't have my own vehicle so I just go with thhe flow of what my friends are doing.Comment
