I am like Pierson too. He has fought a few wrestlers and done well. Robertson might be able to beat him but I feel like Pierson puts it together better.Leave a comment:

Good breakdown. I thought Maldonado should've won the decision even though, if I remember correctly, I had money on Igot.
I'm thinking I might throw Jimmo into a parlay with . . . someone. Not sure who. Maybe . . . Pierson. Hmm. . .Leave a comment:

Yeah he was basically out wrestled/ out clinched along the fence for three rounds. I remember being surprised because I didn't think of Beltran as that good a wrestler and I thought of Pokrajac as a better wrestler. Not that crazy though, Stephan Bonnar shut him out for three rounds. He outwrestled him too. I thought his fight against Fabio Maldanado was very close too. It could have gone either way. He wasn't able to run a wrestling clinic on him either. Kingsbury and Hollett were able to score a lot of takedowns on Maldanado and they aren't even wrestlers.
My conclusion is that Igors wrestling is not really that great. He is dangerous though because he is willing to swing wildly and can connect. I lean Jimmo because in over twenty fights nobody has been able to put him away or significantly outwrestle him. Te huna hits like a ton of bricks and has better wrestling than Igor (Te huna manhandled Beltran) and he had trouble with Jimmo. Granted Jimmo landed that head kick right off the bat and it could have been a lot different if he hadn't. On the other hand Jimmo took the fight after a training camp that was shitty due to an injury. Te huna probably would not have won if Jimmo didn't gas. Jimmo probably should have got a 10-8 in round one as well. Jimmo also took a shitload of punishment in the second half of that fight and didn't get knocked out. My conclusion is that Jimmo has a good chin. Good chin + great defensive striking should make a hard night for Igor IMO. It all adds up on paper....
So Igor by TKO via wild haymaker he throws while completely gassed out.Leave a comment:

Poopoo, why in gods name would you bet so much on Shawn Jordan? Barry is only a sprawl or two from ko'ing that guy with ease.
And if you say wrestler vs striker I swear I'll neg you so hard sideloaded will feel itLeave a comment:

After thinking about it some more I remembered that Pokerjack got beat up by the Mexecutioner. And that convinced me that Jimmo should at least be the fave, though I still think his line is a little high. Not a strong one. Jimmo was the kind of fighter I like a lot before he came to the UFC (even if his opposition wasn't that great). But he's fought very differently in his last two fights and now I'm not sure what to make of him. I worry that he's fighting to impress rather than win, and it makes me anxious to bet him as a favorite. I do think he should win, though.Leave a comment:

Mitch Clarke was a high school wrestler that also wrestled in college in Canada for a year or two. I think his jiu jitsu might be kinda week though.Leave a comment:

Weigh ins are strictly for seeing if anyone is emaciated. Its almost a guaranteed bet the opposite way if someone shows up like thatLeave a comment:

Im undecided on if I will touch the bet. I think Maguire is a solid fighter but definitely one that needs to get the fight to the ground.Leave a comment:
