Good luck Luke, but I don't see how you could be confident in this fight either way.
I dont think it will be that close .I see many ways Lesnar can win this fight and only one way Carwin can. Most fights people think will be close end up being very one sided when they finally fight,I think this is one of them. Last one that comes to mind is Cain-NOG.I've been wrong before so this wouldnt be the first time but I like this play alot

Fair enough.
I just don't feel there is enough information on either guy to know how they will handle being pushed. I foresee a clinch battle and I'm not sure who is better there.

That is pretty much how I see it. I think there will be alot of clinching. I think it is a coin flip. But the information I do have is that Brock has been out a year and was really sick. Carwin has never been out of rd. 1 in 12 fights.
Then my speculation goes: Brock went the distance with Herring, despite the fact that he had Herring's back the entire time, he was never really close finishing. Even if Carwin gets taken down, he will be showing his back, not playing guard like Randy and Mir did when they got finished. When Randy was giving his back, Brock was having trouble controlling him. Since I think it will be a clinch war, I know Carwin has tools to finish from there.
Luke, where you see only one out for Carwin, I see fewer outs for Brock. Brock has to get a takedown and hope Shane turns to face him in guard. Or gas. But given what we know, there is no reason to think Shane is going to gas out any more than anyone else. But Shane can land a shot on the feet. He can land a shot from the clinch. And he can win a decision by keeping it upright or controlling the clinch.

On top of that, if we get some stalemates in the clinch (although obviously this depends on who the ref is), expect a fair bit of separations which allow for more chances for either guy to lance the other.

I heard those same exact arguements about the Babalu-Lawler fight. Babalu "had" to take Robbie down to win because he couldnt strike with him .
^^ I could see it for sure. If he gets by Nelson, which I think he will... he had an easy road to a title shot. I don't think he will beat Cain or Brock though. I think he could beat Carwin and Mir.
JDS is the best striker out of the bunch. Hands down. I don't even consider that to be an arguable point.
And his ground game is a question mark, but Gonzaga couldn't hold him down and that at least says something. That bit of info + the fact that he trains with the Nogs leads me to believe that his ground game is fine. Perhaps he could get wrestlefucked for three rounds. Perhaps. But I don't see how you could definitely say that JDS will NOT beat all of those guys. What are you basing that on?

I think Cain beats JDS, but JDS beats everyone else.
