Yeah, women's MMA is just a much smaller world so the level of competition isn't there. But women's MMA matches don't look much worse than (say) the first round of TUF fights to enter the house.

I loved that fight though.

Believe it or not, I actually talked to Keith Kizer the other day for another article Ultimate MMA wants me to do and we talked extensively about judging. He thinks that some judges are better than others for sure and that not everyone knows what they're doing.

I'll say this shit, dude can talk and talk and talk. I was supposed to get 300 words out of him and I ended up with a recording that went over an hour.

I actually asked him a question that made me think of you: Will we ever get knees to the head of a downed opponent?

He said that there are some techniques that he's just not open to, like soccer kicks. But he said that knees to the head of a downed opponent as well as 12-to-6 elbows seem reasonable to him and that he wants fighters to have every reasonable offensive and defensive weapon. HOWEVER, the doctors they have consulted with give compelling evidence as to why these techniques should not be allowed and after hearing their views they were able to convince him, at least for the time being.

Then he went on an odd--and oddly amusing--rant about spitting. He said that spitting could be used as a weapon to blind your opponent and that as long as neither fighter has hepatitis then it wouldn't have any negative health effects. But he puts it in the same category of soccer kicks . . . there's just no skill involved and it's poor sportsmanship.

I think knees to the head of a downed fighter are probably too dangerous to ever be brought back. I think they should allow all elbows though.

Well, i didn't really mean offensive in the PC sort of way... moreso that you are just a prick.

As for my comment... what? Is it wrong to say that women menstruate now? They do, and it affects them... and as such you have a 25% chance of betting on a fighter, that might have that bloated and edgy feeling.
