I think knees to the head of a downed fighter are probably too dangerous to ever be brought back. I think they should allow all elbows though.

I think knees are only dangerous if they're straight to the top of the head(spinal column). Wouldn't be too hard to outlaw that only. Otherwise they're just like standing knees. Knees to the head on the ground completely change the dynamic of the ground game. They must be legalized.

He said that the doctors basically maintain that the amount of force that can be generated from a knee to a fighter's head at waist level is just too dangerous to allow.

Yeah, I'm not really sure where that whole thing came from. I think he was just making a point about the differences between skilled and sportsmanlike conduct, and that which is neither. It cracked me up a little though.

Agreed on the knees to the head. It is integral. Its also a major incentive to pass guard, so we would see less lnp.

I certainly understand safety and to some extent sportsmanship, but I really hate it when people say a technique should be banned because "it doesn't take any skill".
