I got an Acer, my wife got me one for Christmas. It was like 600 bucks, and works better than my $1500 custom one I got from dell a couple years ago.

That's a full on laptop, I assume?

My PC at home is a desktop I put together for $700 complete with a 3.2GHz dual-core CPU, 19" monitor, 500 GB HD, Blu-Ray drive. . . It's not cutting edge, but great for the amount of money I put into it.

Yeah, i got all kinds of shit on it, 17 inch monitor, dvd burner, etc. all that junk. My 9 year old uses it to do her homework on now.

This little Acer works like a charm.

I never have really done the library thing. I think a book to me is kind of like a trophy. When I finish it I want to display it, victoriously, on the bookshelf.

I'm the opposite. I go straight to half or amazon and see if it's worth anything.
