Theres other sites out there, that estimate the value of the site. Some of them say its worth like 5 or 10 grand, and I make like 300 a month on advertising. I dont know where the fuck they get that info from. I dont have any advertisements on here.

Just venturing a guess, it could just be a basic earning potential algorithm based on traffic.

Nope. Never made one cent in over 4 years. Thats one of the reasons I opened this place up. I cant stand those forums that have banners, or "This contest is sponsered by" Bs.

I get approached all the time about putting up sportsbook banners, but I don't really want to make any money off the place. Its not really that expensive anyway.

Once you let those books in, they start telling you what to do, and you have quotas you have to reach with them, and its just never going to be something I will ever do.

I appreciate your dedication to purity on the site. But I am with X, I bet you could make at least a few hundred bucks per month, probably a lot more if you started pimping the site hard like you used to.

It would start to become a job for me, and at that point, This place wouldnt be as fun as it is for me now. If it started to get too expensive, I may have to do that, but I cant really see that happening.

Its only about 15 a month. I buy the domain name a year in advance, thats about 15 bucks, and the privacy for it, so you dont see my name, address, and phone number, thats like 20 bucks or so.

A few years ago, we did a bowl contest, whoever picks the most bowl games correct, wins. We were gonna do like, a $250 Free play at bookmaker.com. I set it all up with the guy, and once the thing started, he started telling me I need to start advertising this and that, and he wanted more guys to sign up at his book, banners all over the place, etc. The only agreement we had, was that he could post in the forum, all the specials that they were running. He started telling me he wouldnt commit the funds unless I got like 20 people to open an account with at least $100. I told him forget it, and I paid the money out of my pocket.

We did a lot of contests over the years, and I always paid out of my pocket. One year, I won the NCAA hoops bracket contest, and I gave my price to the 2nd place guy. I think Luke won the NFL survivor pool a couple years ago too.

I probably could. I got an offer a couple years ago to buy just the domain name, they didnt want the forum or anything. I threw out some crazy number to the guy, and never heard back.

Me and Luke were the only ones talking about boxing/mma here, so we started spreading the IWS Gospel. Our pimp hand is strong.
