I figured I should bet against the guy that hasn't won a fight in forever and was obviously just fighting for a paycheck. Everyone seemed to think Hunt was going to win so I started to think I was stupid...guess not.

Truth. I looked at Hunt's MMA record and he's like 6-5 or some shit like that. And granted, all (or most?) of his losses have been to big names, but all of his wins are to people I've never heard of. That, added to the fact that McCorkle dwarfed Hunt at the weigh-ins and also Hammersmith picked McCorkle to win, made me consider it. But I knew if McCorkle lost then I'd get pissed and berate myself for making bets without doing the proper research.

I feel you, but I was looking at McCorkle being a bum hunter, and Hunt at least has a pedigree. The last fuckin thing I thought would be a sub in this one. I figured they would bang it out, and Hunt would win.

Well I guess Grant was good for it. Everyone thought so. I've kind of got a new rule though: Not betting on anyone without at least 3 fights in a major organization against opponents I'm familiar with. There's usually just not enough info otherwise.
