Houston is pretty terrible all around. He's only really dangerous in the clinch where he can punch really hard with horrible technique. And if it gets there Soko will flip him on his ass with extra extreme ease. If it goes past 7 minutes Soko will fade fast, but Houston likely even faster. If there's no finish in the first round it probably goes to a decision with Soko looking slightly less awful than Houston.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. To his credit, all of Soko's losses are to guys who are pretty good to great. But he does have a lot of problems that he seems to refuse to address.

If Soko was a fighter who was living up to his potential, then I could see -500. But under the current circumstances, it's way too high.

If he was fighting to his full potential he wouldn't be wasting his time with Houston Alexander in the first place. Even still -500 is insane for someone of even Sokodjou's potential calliber. Thats usually a line reserved for the most dominant of dominant champions. The Matt Hughes', BJ Penn's, Anderson Silva's and GSP's.

I'm actually surprised the line hasn't moved at all. I would think there would be some people who would say, "Houston at +350? Fuck it. Soko is so questionable."

Probably because Houston is also very questionable. Not to mention his last fight wasn't exactly the kind that builds confidence in bettors.
