I saw Warrior. I thought it was pretty good. Performances were awesome. Nolte was A+.

Kurt Angle pretty much ruined the movie for me. He just was so damn goofy.

Finally saw 13 Assassins on Netflix...Brilliant film. Just great.

I met and got suplexed by Kurt Angle back in like 1994 (the real kind, not the WWE kind). He called me up to demonstrate a move and then he suplexed the shit out of me. He was kind enough to drop me on my face instead of the back of my head at least. He was a serious guy, he seemed to be huge to me then, and he had a big full head of curly hair. He was one the coaches at Ken Chertow's Gold Medal Wrestling Camp (Matt Hughes was there too). Angle was a really helpful and down to earth guy, sort of quiet. Matt and Mark Hughes were actually considerably more obnoxious and animated than Angle... they were goofing off and "punching" each other in the face with the inside of their forearms and lauging about it.

Pro-wrestling makes asses out of seemingly normal guys.

Yea, for all I know Angle could be a sweetheart. But IMO he ruined the movie. He was not believable as his character IMO.

I think Angle in his prime could have been a major force in MMA.

Angle would have been a champion. Guy is a freak athlete and would be by far the best wrestler in the HW division. I am not saying I know him or that he is a nice guy IRL, just that he seems like a totally different person now. He was not an olympic champion yet when I met him, and he had not gotten famous through WWE. Seems like a total ass hat now to me.

But I won't be watching that movie, so I will be spared his acting skills.

Not believable only because you knew he was Kurt Angle, probably. I mean, he doesn't have a single line and is only in like 5 scenes for a total screen time of maybe 3 minutes. I thought he did acceptably well, but even if he didn't, I don't see how that "ruined the movie."

I have not watched WWF for at least 12 to 13 years, But I do know who he is. And I also know who AJ and Nate are. But Angle with his goofy wide eyed look was just weird IMO. He also looked as russian to me as one of the guys from the Jersey Shore.

Ruined is harsh. But I already thought the movie was just good, not great. He just added a bit of displeasure to it.

sbjj I take it you really like that 13 assassins movie. I remember you posting a preview about it a long time ago. Is it worth seeing?

Yes, excellent movie. A bit slow at first for character development. And it has subtitles. But an excellent story with some hardcore action at the end.

Not nearly as gory as was advertised. Which I did not mind because I am not into the gore all that much.
