I am going to be big time in a couple weeks. Just got an Order for Oral Argument in front of the Court of Appeals at a university here. Going to be making oral argument against the Attorney General in front of the student body, faculty, bench and bar. It is kind of like when Ed Norton goes in front of the Supreme Court in Larry Flynt, except way less important. I have never done it before, it only comes up about once a year around here, kind of nervous tbh.

I know you guys care a lot, it is going to be streamed, so you can watch me dazzle live.

Basically, I am kind of a big deal now.

They will probably be trying to pick me up like they did when I used to teach. I taught several courses at a local university up until my first kid was born. I started out as adjunct faculty but got a part time gig as affiliate faculty. It was at night though, 6-10p. I quit so I could have my bjj night instead. Can't be gone 2-3 nights per week...
