I used to think Maia would wreck Shields, but I could see Shields winning a decision via staying on top and not moving very much.

I think he could get Maia down. No one tries to take Maia down and he wants to go down, so I doubt his TD defense is very good. I think Maia could get Shields down too though. I think it would probably be a pretty close fight on the mat, Maia with the submission edge, Shields with better cardio. Maia has better striking IMO.
