I watched Silverado when I was a kid and I liked it then, I need to watch that again.

Open Range is that the one with Tommy Lee Jones? I was meh on that one, though I don't mind Kevin Costner as much as most people. I remember liking "The Postman" when I was like 20. Maybe I would hate it now, I don't know, my taste has changed a lot.

I agree that the John Wayne tyoe westerns pretty much suck. I did see the original Ture Grit in preparation for the Coen Bros one, and I did like it ok. I did like some of the older Clint Eastwood ones though, the Outlaw Josey Wales and The Good, Bad, and the Ugly. Not really because they were great movies...

As for older westerns, fuck 'em. But maybe I should check out some of the Eastwood stuff. I like Eastwood. I've also heard Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid with Redford and Newman is supposed to be good.

I could see that with the Postman. I can't recall a single thing about the movie except for the plot. But back then, I was less interested in actual acting and script and cinematography... I was more into cool ideas. So I might need to rewatch it just to check.

I have never seen Butch Cassidy. I need to see that one too.

Eastwood is a pimp on pretty much every level. He was a badass in the movies, he directs good movies, and he is a libertarian that actually got elected. I forgot about Pale Rider, that was another one I liked, definitely start with Pale Rider.

Tombstone is actually My favorite movie of all time believe it or not. It's weird to Me because I have never liked the western movie genre. But I can watch Tombstone once a week and never get tired of it.
