Basically, "we have no idea about anything and we are just making things up" should be the new name of the discipline.
We've learned quite a bit about cosmology. But there will always be some stuff that we know, and other stuff that's on the fringe of current understanding, so there will be a lot of speculation. Of course, this is true for any branch of science, but it seems more noticeable for cosmology, where the speculation is (by necessity) a bit more outlandish.

Oh, fuck no. I suspected that I would never again back down after watching the first film, but after watching the second I am sure of it.

Poopoo, I am starting a massive strength and endurance building campaign today. I am focusing on barbell complexes, followed by some intense cardio (going to start off with some jumping rope tonight). I am going to do this workout this month:

My questions for you are: 1) have you ever done one of these barbell complex style workouts? 2) is 4x per week too much? (i will do bjj the other 3 days). Looking at something like the workout in the vid, followed by either sprints or jump rope or rowing for 20-30 mins. Whats up? Am I going to be transformed into a grappling machine or not?

X, I did not heed your advice about "Weeds" and I am about halfway through season 5 (of 7). I fully disagree with your assessment, it is a pretty damn good show. It definitely takes a while to pick up, but it continues to get better and less cartoonish. I did not know Kevin Nealon was so damn funny, he kills every scene in that show.

Maybe I should give it another shot. I only watched part of the 1st episode and gave up on it. I have another friend who has watched every season, but he says he does it more out of habit and he really doesn't think it's a great show, so that also kept me from going back and trying it again.

I'm currently watching this season of Dexter and am waiting for the next season of Spartacus to start up. I'm also watching The Office, a show that I'm very sad about having caught up to the current season, because I love that shit and want more of it. Maybe I should give the British version a try.

I like the Office, but I think it has run its course and I think they should kill it after this season. I actually prefer Parks and Recreation to the Office now. Those are about the only shows I watch during a week. I treid teh UK version, I couldn't get into it. I am sure it is funny in its own right, but it is not the same things that make the American version funny.

Weeds is funny to me. It also has some elements of a morality tale, as most of the character's lives are in complete shambles, though it happens slowly. But if you look at where everyone is in season 1, compared to season 5, only one guy has really improved as a human. So in that way, it is something of a redemption story for Andy (so far) which I like, because to me he is the only likable character on the show.

I am looking forward to starting a new show soon. I want to start "Breaking Bad" I think. My other candidates are "Six Feet Under" and "The Wire". I have never seen a single episode of any of those shows.

I feared that I would feel that way too, but I'm still enjoying it.

I've heard about Parks and Recreation but haven't watched it. I know it's up for streaming on Netflix. Maybe I'll give it a look.

Yeah, I've watched a few episodes in the past and that was my feeling as well.

I've heard good things about Breaking Bad.

I would also suggest looking into Mad Men.

I treid Mad Men for a second, just didn't grab me. But I tried to watch an episode in the middle of a season... I may come back to it later.

I'd say start at the beginning and at least give it a couple of episodes.

I ran through the first five seasons of Dexter in the last three weeks, good show.

Yeah I love Dexter, but I usually wait until the season is over to start watching. I am waiting for the season to end. I don't like waiting.

Dexter was the first TV series that I got into in YEARS. Someone gave me the first season on a DVD he burned for me and I took like a year and a half to watch it. But I finally did and it renewed my love for TV.

I think Spartacus is the best show on TV today, though. Dexter is #2.

It can be annoying. I'm experience this with The Office right now. I'm just left wanting more after each new episode.
