Went and saw Hugo today. Interesting, and peculiar, film. Visually speaking, one of the most awesome movies I've ever seen.

The first hour is kind of slow, but it picks up after that and the second half is very engaging.

Ok, I watched both trailers and I still have really zero idea what the movie is about. But it's Scorcese so it's probably decent, at least. Plus it apparently has Borat in character, so there's that.

Yeah, the trailer's don't really tell you what the film is about. I don't think you're supposed to know, because it's best if the story just unfolds for you.

But it's basically a love letter from Scorcese to classic film in general, and the classic French filmmaker Georges Méliès in particular. You'd just have to see it to know what I mean.
