Strikeforce: Hendo vs Fedor

i don't have any problems with the conclusions they come up with in that article... but the analysis leaves a lot to be desired. It is almost like they don't even realize that Fedor is a HW and Hendo is a MW. Hendo has not used his wrestling in years, and there is no way he is going to hold Fedor down and pummel him. Hendo does not have the wrestling edge. He might be able to put Fedor on the cage and trip him a few times, but there will not be any prolonged periods of Hendo being on top.
Then they say that Hendo gassed against Shields but should have no such problems with a larger opponent. Do they realize that having a big guy on you makes you gas a lot more, not less? Unless they are attributing his gassing to his weight cut... but then, he gassed the last time he was in a prolonged grappling match as well (Rampage). He only lasted one round before he ran out of steam. They also failed to mention that Dan is 40 years old.
Bottom line, Fedor has every advantage in this fight, except maybe the mental edge. He may still lose, but that article is retarded.
Also, Hendo is on roids like a motherfucker, so he is going to have Sonnen-strength and I no longer support him. War Fedor.2012: +19.33

I feel like Hendo will have a slight advantage in wrestling, I don't know that Fedors Judo will stop all Hendos takedowns attempts. I do think that Hendo is def in sub danger if it does go to the ground though. Standing, Fedor has the clear advantage. That to me equals Fedor being the clear favorite. That said, Hendo can lay anybody out with one punch.1 unit = 300 $Comment

While I do agree that Hendo's #1 game plan these days isn't usually to wrestle, I did think (much to my relief) that he used his wrestling pretty intelligently in the Feijao fight.
That's true, and there's a first time for everything, but Fedor has never been KOd even once in 35 fights, despite fighting most of his career against guys bigger than he is.I heart cockComment

Fedor may not have been knocked out but he has definitely been rocked, if Hendo lands one flush he could in theory drop Fedor and finish him from the top or force him to stand. I think something we really need to look at here is whether Fedor still wants to fight. He seems like he may be tired of the fighter's life and wants to just settle down.2013: +8.24u(increased unit size on 5/19)

Anything can happen. We all know that.
As for Fedor not wanting to fight, I agree that that seems like a distinct possibility, but if in fact that's true it seems he'd be particularly motivated to go out with a win. Also, he's always been open about the fact that he fights for money, and winning = more money, unless he's got something weird in his contract where he doesn't get a win bonus.I heart cockComment

When has fedor been rocked other than the fujita? fight? Also, if fedor's heart wasnt in it he would have turtled up and let the ref stop the fight against big foot. He isn't getting tapped and he isn't going to quit. So basically hendo needs to put his lights out and i dont see it happening. Hendo's path to victory is through top control which i think he has a decent shot of doing. Now will he come out with that mindset? thats the question no one but his team knowsComment
