I'm wondering about Vitor's cardio. What happens if it goes into the second or third round?

But Akiyama's cardio is absolutely horrible, so even if Vitor's is equally sucky then he should still be the superior fighter.

If they are both tired, Akiyama probably has the edge. Even when he is exhausted, he always keeps fighting and doesn't stop. I'm not sure if Vitor will do that. I think a lot of people are expecting this to be a wild striking match, but I have a feeling Akiyama is going to try and bring Vitor down. He was successful against Leben until the triangle by doing that, and IIRC he brought Belcher down as well. Akiyama fought like an idiot in the Bisping fight.

I also wonder how Vitor is going to come back after being KTFO for the first time in his career.

I agree, and I think he's a better fighter for it. He's evolved into a serious counter-striker. Not a good enough to stand in front of Anderson Silva, but plenty good enough to outbox Akiyama in a standup fight, IMO. Takedown defense has always been his weakness though. If Akiyama can put him on his back, it will be trouble.

Akiyama has faber disease in that he doesn't always attempt to use his judo. He enjoys slugging haymakers. He did it for long periods of time in his last 3 fights and did not attempt to grapple often. The leben fight was more leben being wreckless than anything else, and belfort is pretty patient.

                    Actually, that song is cool.

This might actually be a better vid, though.

What chances are you giving Franklin over Rogerio? I think Rogerio is a better striker. Rogerio's takedown defense looked stellar against Phil Davis and he's a southpaw, which according to Franklin - is his weakness. Franklin can't do anything to Rogerio on the ground....To be honest I think this is a terrible matchup for Franklin and am going to be putting down money on Rogerio for sure.

I really like lil nog in this fight. I might bet more on him.

My fear is that Franklin is actually a better striker than Nog. His hands have not looked that good lately. I don't like him at the current line personally, but I do think he will win a close fight. I will probably look hard at the decision prop on this one.

I think Little nog has good hands..he medaled in the pan american games. He was also the super heavyweight champion in south america.

if you watch the shogun/lil nog fight video from pride he actually outstrikes shogun pretty clearly IIRC. Shogun only wins because he keeps taking nog down. I think his wrestling weakness is pretty much gone now.

I will probably add more on Nog and if the line is right I will hedge with Franklin by decision.
