Mitrione's leg got wrapped up around Kimbo's shoulder area and Kimbo grabbed it and brought him down, Kimbo never actually shot and took Mitrione down.

Pat Barry (he was knocked out like 8 times)

Paul Buentello
Frank Mir (We all know what happened here)

Meathead has a solid chin. He's taken some real good shots and hasn't even looked phased. I don't remember Kimbo legitimately taking Matt down so much as I remember Matt going for a high kick that got stuck on Kimbo's shoulder and then when Kimbo came forward Matt tried for some kind of armbar/triangle type deal, which lead to the powerbombs.
Mitrione packs just as much if not more power in his hands than Barry does, and for a guy his size he is deceptively fast with his footwork. I really can't see Kongo being able to hold Mitrione against the fence for too long, Mitrione is a really strong dude. Honestly Kongo doesn't have a whole lot of outs here. He has to avoid getting knocked around like a pinball while he either sticks and moves like hell, or outwrestles Matt. Hopefully his miracle comeback will give us a decent line on Mitrione.2013: +8.24u(increased unit size on 5/19)

You're crazy, unless you count Kongo grabbing onto a leg after being KTFO 8 times a takedown attempt.Comment

With about 2:30 left Browne hit Kongo good and backed him up.. then hit him with another big shot and Kongo was on "wobbly legs" for the rest of that round and was visibily tentative afterwards. I guess I should have said "rocked" instead of "rocked bad" so you didn't freak out.
Yes, Browne hit him with some good shots but nothing crazy. At least that's my view of it. We know Kongo doesn't have the best chin, but he only has one knockout loss in 24 fights, and that was after he gassed hard in the Yvel fight and was too tired to move.I heart cockComment

But can we ignore Kongo's chin when he gets dropped twice by Barry and once hard by Mir? I realize it's the heavyweight division but Mitrione hits just as hard as either of these guys and he'll throw hands without hesitation.2013: +8.24u(increased unit size on 5/19)

It's a relevant piece of info for sure, so it would be stupid to ignore it. But it is worth mentioning that throughout his career even when he gets rocked it virtually never leads to a (T)KO. He finds a way out of it.
Even if you watch the Yvel fight--his one "TKO loss"--it was just some retarded shit where he was ultra-gassed and Yvel was landing little rabbit punches.I heart cockComment
