MLB | May 20 Oakland A's vs. San Francisco Giants San Francisco Giants -148 at 5dimes

FREE PLAY 1 Unit on San Francisco Giants -148

With wins in the first two games of this series, the Giants have now won 11 in a row at home versus the A's. Expect their home dominance to continue behind two-time Cy Young Winner Tim Lincecum this afternoon.

Lincecum hasn't exactly looked like his old self in the early going, but his success against Oakland can't be ignored here. The mighty righty is 5-1 with an ERA of 1.38 in 7 career starts versus the A's.

Oakland's Bartolo Colon got off to a nice start but has quickly faded. He has been rocked in his last two starts, giving up 12 runs on 21 hits in back-to-back losses.

The Giants are 9-1 in their last 10 interleague games and 21-5 in their last 26 interleague home games. The Athletics are 7-24 in their last 31 interleague road games. We'll take the Giants.

        Miami -108 over CLEVELAND

Derek Lowe is off to a scorching start with a 6-1 record and an ERA of 2.05. At home, Lowe is 3-0 with an paltry 1.01 ERA. However, let's not be fooled. In 53 innings, he has 13 strikeouts while walking 17. That is the lowest K/9 in the majors among qualified starters. Almost every hit ball has been right at someone, with his 88% strand rate is further proof of his good fortune. Lowe’s fastball tops off at 87.8 MPH. He’s really not fooling anyone and his skills this year are even worse than last year when he piled up a 9-17 record and a 5.05 ERA. That’s much more in line with his xERA this season of 4.62. Derek Lowe is about to blow up so now is the time to sell high on this imposter. Meanwhile, Josh Johnson is the complete opposite of Lowe. Here’s a great pitcher with spot starter numbers. Lowe has one win and a 5.36 ERA in eight games started. However, he’s had back-to-back quality starts, he’s struck out 38 in 45 frames while walking just 15, his GB % is near elite at 52% and his xERA over the past month was 2.97. If things really do even out over time, Johnson and Lowe will be heading in dramatically different directions and this is as good a place as any for it to start. Play: Miami -108 (Risking 2.16 units to win 2).

        N.Y. Mets +155 over TORONTO

Price is a tad high on the Blue Jays even though they've taken the first two of this series. The Blue Jays continue to tinker with their roster with most recent moves that had the benching of Colby Rasmus and the departing with Adam Lind. Toronto is in tough here against Dillon Gee. Gee has a 5.65 ERA after seven starts but that number is surely coming down with the skills he’s shown. In 43 IP, Gee has whiffed 37 while walking just nine. He has a strong groundball bias profile of 54% and is showing all the positive signs of a pitcher that is just having some bad luck. The skills say he’s a good one. Henderson Alvarez has good skills too. In fact, they’re not much different than his counterpart here. The only big difference is the price, with all the value being on the visitor. Play: N.Y. Mets +155 (Risking 2 units).

4-STAR Los Angeles over SAN DIEGO - There are two things that have really effected Ervin Santana this season. He has pitched with zero run support and has been giving up a huge number of long ball. Well the incredible run of lack of run support will come around while there is no better ballpark or lineup to face than San Diego when needing to keep the ball in the yard. That's a big advantage for his this afternoon.

LA had six hits yesterday in a 3-2 loss to San Diego. The Angels are 15-3 since April 19, 2011 on the road when they are off a loss in which they had at least three times as many hits as runs for a net profit of $1409. Also, the Angels are 18-4 since May 22, 2011 after a loss in which they had 6 or fewer hits in a night game for a net profit of $1301.
Santana's best start of the season was his last, as he worked 7.2 innings and allowed four hits in a shutout win over Oakland. The Angels are 15-0 since June 17, 2006 when Ervin Santana starts as a favorite after going at least 6 innings and giving up 6 or fewer hits at home for a net profit of $1500.
Santana walked three in that contest for a .91 WHIP in the outing. The Angels are 8-0 since May 25, 2011 when Ervin Santana starts after he had a WHIP of less than one his last start for a net profit of $810.
However, it was a high strikeout performance as well as he fanned nine. The Angels are 10-0 since June 23, 2006 when Ervin Santana starts within 20 cents of pickem after more strike outs than hits allowed at home for a net profit of $1045. SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS PREDICTION: Los Angeles 5, SAN DIEGO 2
