South Carolina finished the season at 10-2 but the jury may still be out on this team. The Gamecocks avoided having to play against Alabama and Texas A&M, then proceeded to lose to Florida and LSU. They missed the biggest opponents in the conference and then lost to the two they did play. To their credit, they did knock off Georgia. Michigan may have four losses but two of them were to the only two unbeaten teams in NCAA Football this season, while the third was to a team that is playing in the National Championship game, Alabama. Their only other loss was to Nebraska, who isn't such a bad team either. The win/loss column has more to do with this line than the reality of the level of these teams, which is a toss-up, so points will weigh heavy here in this one. The Gamecocks are not exactly-bettor friendly on a neutral field where they are 1-5 ATS n their last six, while the Wolverines making necessary adjustments after allowing 200+ on the ground in their last game at 5-1 ATS in their last six. The Sixers are playing the fifth game of a six game road trip and this is the first game of a four-games-in-five days stretch; playing in Phoenix tomorrow. The Lakers have played up-tempo when the host a team on a long road trip. LA is 9-0 OU (+12.1 ppg) when their opponent is playing in at least their fifth straight road game. Also, the Sixers are 7-0 OU as a road dog when playing the first game of four-games-in-five-days, going over by an average of 16.4 ppg.

The Northwestern Wildcats finished 9-3 and 5-3 in Big Ten play during the regular season. Northwestern won their last two games of the regular season and three of their last four games. The Wisconsin Badgers finished 8-5 on the year and 4-4 in the Big Ten. Head coach Bret Bielema accepted a job at Arkansas, so former Wisconsin coach and current athletic director Barry Alvarez will return to the sideline to coach this game. Alvarez took Wisconsin to the Rose Bowl three times, and won them all. The Badgers rely on a powerhouse ground game led by touchdowns machine Montee Ball, the Doak Walker Award winner as the nation’s top running back. The Badgers defense ranks 12th nationally against the run, giving up only 111.3 yards per game. This game will be strength against strength, grind-it-out matchup between two schools that will be playing in a BCS bowl for the third straight season. Both teams will try to run the ball andWisconsin will have that edge. Look for a very conservative game from Wisconsin. The need long drives running the ball, grinding up the turf and eating up the clock. New Years Bowl Game of the Year



The Nebraska Cornhuskers meet the Georgia Bulldogs in the Capital One Bowl Tuesday afternoon. Georgia rolls into Orlando after a very impressive regular season that saw them go 11-2 and just miss out on a shot at the national title in an amazing SEC title loss to Alabama. But that is the problem. They came up short and are playing at Disneyland. Momentum stopper!! That mentally ended their season. Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez leads the 8th best rushing attack in the nation. In addition to throwing for 2,677 yards and 21 td’s, Martinez rushed for 973 yards and 10 td’s as well. The Huskers tailback is Ameer Abdullah – he rushed for 1,000 yards and 8 td’s on the year as well. The Cornhuskers are averaging 254 rushing yards per game and will need to control the time of possession. A key factor to watch in this one is the recent ineligibility of Georgia DT John Jenkins who is the anchor of the Georgia line and will not suit up for this contest.
