              (7pm) Take #504 CHARLOTTE +2 over Sacramento

62% of the public on the Kings. ALWAYS GO WITH POINT SPREADS AIMED AT SUCKERS! If a number looks funny always side with the people who set it. Each played last night, and both have been “go-against” when playing unrested (Sacto 12-18 vs. the number last 2+ seasons; Charlotte 10-23 the last 1+). These are two of the worst defensive teams in the league, both yielding more than 103 ppg. Walker has emerged as Charlotte's key offensive threat in his second season, leading the team with averages of 17.5 points and 5.6 assists.Facing Sacramento gives Charlotte a golden opportunity to earn its first home win since Sessions hit the decisive jumper with 28 seconds left in a 98-97 victory over Toronto on Nov. 21. The Kings are 3-15 on the road, giving up an average of 101.2 points. Those troubles away from home continued Friday as Sacramento opened this three-game trip with an 85-69 loss to Memphis. The Kings set a season low in points and matched their worst effort from the field with 34.1 percent. Play on: BOBCATS.

4.5-STAR Golden State +5 over NEW ORLEANS - Golden State comes into this one in real need of a win. While they've lost five of six now, their schedule over that stretch has been absolutely brutal. Even though they are banged up we expect they have targeted this game to try to get with two more elite teams up next on the schedule.
Golden State is on the second half of a weekend back-to-back here. The Warriors are 8-0 ATS (9.6 ppg) since November 27, 2010 as a road dog on Saturday after playing on Friday.
They lost last night 95-88 to San Antonio. The Warriors are 9-0 ATS (13.1 ppg) since January 15, 2012 when playing the second of back-to-back road games after losing the first.
It was a game where they led by double digits in the first half. The Warriors are 6-0 ATS (12.2 ppg) since January 05, 2011 with at most one day of rest off a loss as an away dog in which they led by 10+ points.
The 95 points they allowed were 11.5 less than expected. The Warriors are 8-0 ATS (10.1 ppg) since February 29, 2012 on the road after a loss in which their DPA was negative.
Klay Thompson had 21 points in that game and they were led by David Lee with 22. The Warriors are 13-0 ATS (9.8 ppg) since March 05, 2012 on the road after a loss in which Klay Thompson was not the Warriors' high scorer.
New Orleans meanwhile is coming off a surprising 90-78 win in Boston. They overcame a healthy deficit in that game. The Hornets are 0-7 ATS (-9.6 ppg) since May 02, 2003 as a home favorite with at least one day of rest off a win as an away dog in which they trailed by 10+ points.
That was also a big defensive effort allowing 17.8 points less than expected. The Hornets are 0-8 ATS (-9.6 ppg) since April 29, 2008 at home with at least one day of rest after a double digit win in which their DPA was minus 15 points or less.
They found success even with just 12 assists on 31 baskets in that game. The Hornets are 0-8 ATS (-11.4 ppg) since December 06, 2005 with two or more days of rest after a game on the road in which less than 40% of their baskets were assisted.
The huge difference was their 26-6 scoring edge at the foul line. The Hornets are 0-8 ATS (-11.1 ppg) since November 05, 2008 as a favorite after a game in which their opponent shot less than 60% from the free-throw line.
SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS PREDICTION: Golden State by 3
4-STAR Golden State and New Orleans Under 188 - With the Hornets as a defensive oriented, low scoring team, Golden State would be the ones normally looking to push this over. However, they've had no rest. The Warriors are 8-21 OU (-4.8 ppg) since December 12, 2009 when playing the second of back-to-back road games. Look for this one to stay under as well.
Golden State lost last night but kept things close with defense, 95-88 against San Antonio. They committed just nine turnovers while attempting 84 shots in that game. The Warriors are 0-6 OU (-5.9 ppg) since December 12, 2009 as a road dog with no rest after a game on the road in which their field goal attempt per turnover ratio was at least eight.
New Orleans is coming off a 90-78 win in Boston. The Hornets are 0-7 OU (-13.5 ppg) since April 18, 2000 after a road win against the Celtics.
New Orleans had 17 turnovers and just 12 assists in that game. The Hornets are 0-11-1 OU (-17.5 ppg) since March 26, 2003 with two or more days of rest if not an 8+ point favorite after a game on the road in which they had more turnovers than assists.
Boston actually had three more baskets than New Orleans in that game. The Hornets are 0-8 OU (-15.6 ppg) since November 09, 2010 with at least one day of rest after a win in which they made fewer baskets than their opponent.
The difference was a huge 26-6 edge for NO at the foul line. The Hornets are 0-6 OU (-4.9 ppg) since February 28, 1998 with two or more days of rest after a double digit win in which they scored more than 25% of their points from the free throw line.
That helped them overcome 2-of-17 three point shooting. The Hornets are 0-6 OU (-10.8 ppg) since March 15, 2000 with two or more days of rest after a double digit win in which they scored less than 10% of their points from the three-point line.
These teams met last in December with Golden State winning 103-96. Ryan Anderson led New Orleans with 28 points in the loss. The Hornets are 0-9 OU (-12.7 ppg) since December 01, 2012 after losing the previous matchup in which Austin Rivers was not the Hornets' high scorer.
                SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS PREDICTION: 179 points
4-STAR UTAH over Cleveland - Cleveland picked up a hard fought win in Portland last night. That's no easy task and that took every this Cavaliers squad had. They have a real lack of depth as is and it really catches up to them in games like this.
Utah meanwhile is going to be well rested and prepared for this game. Due to a scheduling quirk, they have four days rest coming in and three days rest after. The Jazz are 6-0 ATS (5.2 ppg) since February 19, 2008 when playing an isolated home game (2+ rest before and after).
When they last played on Monday, they defeated Miami, 104-97. That despite 54% shooting from the Heat. The Jazz are 7-0 ATS (13.9 ppg) since March 05, 2008 at home after a home win in which they allowed at least 50% from the field.
The key was dominating the available boards with a huge 40-23 edge. The Jazz are 8-0 ATS (5.9 ppg) since March 07, 2007 at home after a home win in which they controlled at least 60% of the available rebounds.
Al Jefferson led the way with 23 points in that game. The Jazz are 6-0 ATS (10.5 ppg) since March 16, 2011 at home with at least a day of rest after a win in which Al Jefferson was the Jazz's high scorer.
Kyrie Irving really shouldered the load for Cleveland last night, scoring 31 points and 13-of-24 shooting. The Cavaliers are 0-5 ATS (-3.5 ppg) since February 21, 2012 after a win in which Kyrie Irving took more than 20 shots. SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS PREDICTION: UTAH 108, Cleveland 93

Indian Cowboy's Picks For NBA Basketball

                            3-Unit Play. Take #512 Utah -8.5 over Cleveland (9:05 p.m., Saturday January 19)

Yes this is a big number but the Jazz front line is too big and too physical for the short-handed Cavaliers tonight in Utah. Utah is a tough place to steal a road game and the Cavs have dropped 4 out of 5 road games and tonight in Salt Lake City this trend continues. If the Cavs had Anderson Varejao I probably would touch this game but since the Cavs again playing without him I see the Jazz pounding the ball down low and winning the physical side of this game. Utah Jazz stud Al Jefferson has a big game on the boards and he has a big game scoring tonight and Jefferson is the main reason why the Jazz cover this home number.

Indian Cowboy's Picks For NHL Hockey

3-Unit Play. #1 Take Pittsburgh -120 vs. Philadelphia (Saturday @ 3:05 pm est)
Pittsburgh did little to overhaul its roster during the offseason, believing the core that fell to Philadelphia in the opening round of last spring's playoffs remains strong enough to compete for a Stanley Cup. After nearly two full seasons of playing without at least one of their stars because of injury, the Penguins were at full strength and considered one of the favorites to reach the Stanley Cup Final. The Penguins are built to have No. 87 and No. 71 win games for them, especially in the playoffs. ?Sid the Kid? Crosby has been leading a handful of teammates onto the ice for drills four days a week and few places in the league that have shown as much solidarity during the four-month-old lockout. The Penguins believe that can only pay off when things get going for real. Pittsburgh, which hopes a quick start will lead to an even better finish.
3-Unit Play. #18 Take St. Louis Blues -140 vs. Detroit (Saturday @ 8:05 pm est)
St. Louis Head Coach Ken Hitchcock's philosophy and formula for winning is the same. It's three competitive center icemen, good depth on defense and great goaltending. That's what wins in the NHL. You look at all the teams that did well this year, that's what they've got. The Blues have it within their group. The Blues boast one of the best blue-line corps in the League along with a deadly goaltending duo of Jaroslav Halak and Brian Elliott. If this young team can grow, stay healthy and learn from last season's sweep at the hands of the Los Angeles Kings, they have a chance to raise the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history. The Blues could be the most dangerous team in the League and St. Louis has dominated at the Scottrade Center. No sour notes played by the Blues on Opening Night.

Robert Ferringo's Picks For NBA Basketball
2-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 198.5 Cleveland at Utah (9 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19)
The Jazz love to run and gun at home and I have a hard time seeing them staying under 105 points tonight. In fact, it should be even worse. The Cavs have given up 124 points to the Kings, 113 to the Lakers and 98 to Denver in three of their last four games. They have gotten hit for more than 100 points in 6 of their last 10 games. They just don't defend. Utah has given up 100 or more points in three of five games and the only two times they didn't were against struggling offenses in Atlanta (95) and Detroit (90). Losing Anderson Varejao and gaining Kyrie Irving completely changes the complexion of this Cavs team. The 'over' is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Utah and 6-2 in the last eight meetings anywhere.
Robert Ferringo's Picks For NHL Hockey

                              3-Units Take #1 Pittsburgh (-125) over Philadelphia (3pm, Saturday, January 19th)
                              1-Unit Take #1 Pittsburgh (-1.5 +230) over Philladelphia

The Flyers ended the Penguins season last year in the first round in a series that turned ugly with hits and fights and what was even worse was the goaltending. It may seem that even team has had only a week to prepare for the season but in reality that is not true, some teams had guy's play together in the minors while other teams skated together in practices and then some teams had guy's spread out all over in different leagues. The Penguins had their core guys skating together and while they added some new pieces this is a team that is mainly intact and use to each other, while Philadelphia didn't go out and make that big off season move but did add some new defense to the blue line witch won't jell overnight. I think the Penguins who are a 100% healthy are ready to start the season while I think Philadelphia would benefit from a week or two to get right. The Flyers will also be without the servicesof Danny Briere and I still think goalie ILya Bryzgalov is still a liability in net, not good vs a talented and deep Pittsburgh
                              team.

2-Units Take #12 New York Islanders (+105) over New Jersey (7pm, Saturday, January 19th)

The Islanders will surprise some people this year, I'm not saying they will be raising the cup anytime soon but this hockey team has some good young talent that has played together for a couple of years now. I understand people are going to look at this line and think back to last year with the Devils coming up two games short of winning the Stanley Cup but this isn't the same Devils team. New Jersey has more then enough turnover which doesn't work well for the short time of practice that they have had for everybody to get used to they new teammates and the Devils system that they play. This is a huge edge for the Islanders and I'm telling you know this Islanders team is underrated. I think New York should be a ten cent favorite here but because of the names on the front of the jersey's you won't see that number. Take this value with the Islandsers.
