    Wunderdog Sports Free Pick

Game: New Orleans at Utah (9:00 PM Eastern)
    Pick: Utah -7 (-110)
The New Orleans Hornets are a better team now that Eric Gordon is healthy. The line here is adjusting as they were an 8-point dog in LA, who has been dreadful this season. The line is posted less here to a Utah team that is 15-5 at home on the season, where they have a huge advantage. This will be back-to-back nights for New Orleans, and playing in the altitude at Utah has made for an even bigger advantage for the Jazz who are now 139-100 ATS when playing at home vs. an unrested opponent. That includes 89-56-6 ATS if they are a home favorite of more than 6 points. Play on Utah.

Indian Cowboy's Picks For College Basketball

41-26 (61%) in College Basketball as we have put together back to back winners and look to extend that streak today. It's been a good rise for us. More work to be done but we are headed in the right direction.

            3-Unit Play. #749. Take Massachusetts +8.5 over LaSalle (Wednesday @ 7pm est)

3-Unit Play. #779. Take Iowa State +6.5 over Oklahoma State (Wednesday @ 8pm est)

3-Unit Play. #809. Take Boise State +9.5 over Colorado State (Wednesday @ 9pm est)

UMass lost to La Salle by 1 point last year. That revenge will play a big role into their motivation today coming into this game. Although La Salle has traditionally covered this game, I like UMass with the points here. Derek Kellog has this team with 13 wins already this year and that is a far cry from where this program was a few years back. This team is 10-2 over its last 12 games and that level of consistency does play a role as they play better teams with a better offensive flow. UMass is a top 150 offense and defense and they don't necessarily do anything fantastic but they play consistent and have an upperclassman core of 3 players who lead the way which helps their consistency. Coming off a big win against Richmond and gaining momentum and getting 8.5 points on a total of 144 is worth it here for us to take a decent underdog. Sure, La Salle comes off huge wins against Butler and VCU and I suspect they could have a bit of a let down here against a UMass team that does not get the same fanfare as two final four caliber teams in Butler and VCU. This is especially true if this game ends up being a grind out type of contest. Iowa State is the same team that showed a lot of brass losing in overtime to Kansas on the road. If this team can accomplish that, I think they can step up against anyone with that type of motivation. This team is top 25 in the nation in offensive efficiency and top 40 when it comes to offensive rebounding which will always be a positive for them. Oklahoma State took some frustration out on West Virginia in their most recent game, but this team has been a bit inconsistent losing to Baylor, Oklahoma, Gonzaga and Kansas State of late. If this team had their troubles against Kansas State, Iowa State is a similar foe in many ways (in fact, they beat KState recently at home) and I can see Oklahoma State having their hands full this evening. If you want to consider candidates for Coach of the Year, why not take a look at Leon Rice at Boise State. This team won 13 games last year and now sits at 14-5 overall this year. I'm not saying he should win it as there are other coaches with better resumes, but he does need to be in the discussion. This team is 6th in the nation in 3 point shooting, top 30 in offensive efficiency, top 100 in turnover percentage and as they come off losing by 16 to Nevada, the motivation will be there to face Colorado State today in my opinion. Colorado State is the better team of course, but you have to respect a Boise State team that can lose by 4 points to Michigan State on the road and a team that beat Creighton by 13 on the road. If their young guards get hot and play with little to lose, they can hang tough on the road.

Indian Cowboy's Picks For NBA Basketball

7-Unit Play. #710. Take Boston Celtics -7 over Sacramento Kings (Wednesday @ 7:30pm est).

3-Unit Play. #716. Take Brooklyn +2 over Miami Heat (Wednesday @ 8pm est).

The Celtics will be without Rondo in their first full game without their star. The Celtics have a way of coming in the face of adversity and this includes when Rondo got suspended and as long as Doc has been there coach, they have always responded well to difficult circumstances. With Rondo going out, look for Bradley to take a much more of a scorer's mentality in this contest. The onus will be on Pierce, Garnett and Bradley will fill that void as the third leg. Teams have a way of coming together in adversity and this should be no different here. The Celtics are still a playoff team sitting at 21-23 and they likely remember the 118-96 loss they suffered to the Kings earlier this year out west as well. Combine that with the mentality of playing together as a team with no Rondo makes for a good opportunity for a focused team from start to finish here. I like the fact the Kings come off a win against a hot Washington team which sets them up for a likely let down here as well. The Kings are 0-4 ATS following a straight up win, with the Celtics having revenge and looking to come together without Rondo, I like the Celtics here by double-digits this evening. What if I told you that Brooklyn had just 1 less win than the Heat. Sure the Heat have less a couple losses less than the Nets, but the point is that Brooklyn has enjoyed success this year and Miami has lost 13 times this year including their last game to the Celtics who were Rondo-less near the end of the game. The Nets are also 17-7 at home where as the Heat are 10-10 on the road. The Nets had a tough road trip including losing to Houston and Memphis in an ugly way only to hammer Orlando at home to get some frustration out and now they await the Heat. Miami beat this team by 13 earlier this year at home and with the line set so small and with 70% of the public on Miami here, I like New Jersey to get up for this game. The Heat did lose back to back games to Indiana and Portland recently so its not impossible for them to lose back to back games and I believe the Heat in general struggle against teams with a strong inside presence such as Indiana, Memphis, Portland and Boston for example. I like the Nets here to make the upset and win this contest outright.

Indian Cowboy's Picks For NHL Hockey
3-Unit Play. #55 Edmonton Oilers +110 vs. Phoenix (Wednesday @ 9:35 pm est)
This is the first of three meetings this season between the two clubs. Entering a run that will see them play five of their next seven contests on the road, the Oilers are looking to build on their hot play of late. While the young Oilers appear to still be learning how to harness their talent to produce wins, there aren't many teams in the NHL who are as exciting to watch. That's particularly true of their power play, which is scoring at a (35.7) percent clip, the second-highest rate in the League. Goaltender Devan Dubnyk had one of his best outings of the young season, stopping (37) of (38) shots against an Avalanche team. General manager Steve Tambellini hired Ralph Krueger to be the 11th coach in franchise history. The Oilers chose to stay the course with their rebuild rather than make a big trade or chase an established player on the open market. Edmonton has scored seven goals in its last two contests. We strike Oil in the desert at the Jobing.com Arena, Glendale, Arizona with Edmonton on Wednesday Night.

                        752 Baylor -6.5(-110) Hilton vs 751 Oklahoma double-dime bet

Analysis: Both Baylor and Oklahoma are improved, but I like the Bears at home. Baylor is 5-1 in the Big 12 with its lone loss coming to No. 2 Kansas.

The Bears have held their conference foes to a league-low 56.3 points a game on 36.2 percent shooting from the floor. They ca ÃŒn pressure Oklahoma's young guards especially being at home in Waco.

Baylor is well-tested having played a non-conference schedule that featured Gonzaga, Kentucky, BYU and Colorado.

                          Today's NBA Picks

                          New Orleans at Utah

The Jazz look to build on their 8-2-1 ATS record in their last 11 games against the Hornets in Utah. Utah is the pick (-7 1/2) according to Dunkel, which has the Jazz favored by 9 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Utah (-7 1/2). Here are all of today's picks.
