                          SUNDAY ACTION:

                          NFL SUPER BOWL:
                          10* SF 49ERS

                          COLLEGE HOOPS:
                          4* Manhattan

                          NBA HOOPS:
                          4* Boston Celtics

In the SUPER BOWL I am going with the SF 49ers over BALTIMORE.

The Niners have been building this team for this very moment that fell apart late last year vs the NYG.

Don’t think they have forgotten about that.

SF reminds me of the Dallas Cowboys of the 90's. THey are very big, fast and now completely healthy on both sides of the ball. I think Frank Gore will have a big game rushing the ball.

Kap has a game that can take advantage of a team that has struggled this season when playing QBs that can move out of the pocket. Baltimore has good QB with Flacco, who has been playing lights out, but will struggle with the Niners secondary, who have not given up many big QB days on the year. In the dome and a healthy SF team I think they'll pull away for a convincing win.

I see the 49ers and their defense, getting some due turnovers, which will hurt the Ravens, and pull away in the 2nd half to get us the ATS WIN.

                          Prop Bets-

2* Will there be a converted 4th down in the game. YES -210

                          1* Suggs OVER 1/2 sack

                          1* Akers OVER 1.5 FG's

1* Will there be a FG in the 1st Q. YES

1* Will the opening kickoff result in a touchback? Game indoors, look for them to boot it deep for a touchback. Lay the juice for the easy money.

                          YES (Opening Kickoff Touchback) -200

1* Who will have 30 receiving yards first in the game? D Pitta +115 or V Davis -135. I like VERNON DAVIS here...

                                3-Unit Play. #810. Take Minnesota -10 over Iowa (Sunday @ 1pm est).

                                3-Unit Play. #812. Take Louisville -10 over Marquette (Sunday @ 2pm est).

3-Unit Play. #823. Take St. Peter +8.5 over Manhattan (Sunday @ 3pm est).

Minnesota has not beaten Iowa in back to back years and similar to Alabama and Anthony Grant in our 6* yesterday desperately needing to beat a foe that he has not beaten, Tubby Smith needs this win here. Iowa beat this team 63-59 and 64-62 in back to back years and Minnesota is itching for a big win. Minnesota is still in the top 25 and sit at 16-5 but they have played a brutal schedule this year and I believe they are a top 10 caliber team. This is a team that has beaten Memphis, Stanford and had a tough stretch facing Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. This team is well aware they are 4-4 in conference play and a win here in the difficult Big 10 would put them at 5-4 as they rebounded nicely against Nebraska winning 84-65 at home and they need a similar big win here at home today. Its not often that teams look forward to the Iowa game but I think Minnesota has been itching for this game for sometime now and this is a top 10 offensive efficiency team. I like Minnesota to likely win this game by the teens today. The public likes Marquette in a big way today as 70% backs the Underdog. But, Louisville needs a big home win and what better way than to get it at the hands of Marquette today. There is no love loss between these two teams as well. Louisville needs a statement win at home here and frankly I think this is a trap line as the public is hammering the points here with Marquette but I suspect Louisville's defense will give Marquette trouble. When Marquette faces a stout defense like Florida for example, they lost 84-49 and as they face the 2nd best defense in the nation, I suspect they will have their hands full. Finally, St. Peter has revenge against Manhattan today. For a game that is expected to be in the 112 range, getting 8.5 points is not a bad idea. St. Peter comes off a big win against Marist and although they fell short 55-53 to Manhattan earlier this year, this is a team that can stay competitive in the half court set I feel on the road today. This is a top 135 turnover team whereas Manhattan is a top 340 turnover team. And, for a team that has revenge today or who could possibly win this game outright, and has the edge on the turnover margin in what is expected to be a low scoring game, let's roll with the 8.5 points here this afternoon.

Indian Cowboy's Picks For NBA Basketball

3-Unit Play. #806. Take Under 195 Miami vs. Toronto (Sunday @ 2pm est).

This is likely going to be a defensive game for several reasons today. For starters, Toronto comes off a huge win over the Clippers scoring 98 points and just emotionally it will be a let down as the onset of Rudy Gay has arrived. As they face the Heat today, a team they lost to in overtime in late January, look for both teams to make the necessary changes as they play this time around. Prior to that over the last 3 of 4 had gone under for these two teams. Plus, Miami usually bounces back coming after a loss and more importantly, they bounce-back on the defensive side of the ball. Giving up 102 points for this team on the road to Indiana was probably not a positive for this team and take a look at their series of losses and the following points to the opposing team the next game. When this team lost to Utah giving up 104 in their next game they gave up 75 to Golden State on the road or after they lost to Boston in overtime, they gave up 85 to Brooklyn on the road. And now as they come off a loss to Indiana, I like them on the defensive side of the ball plus I like Toronto to have a bit of a let down after their big win against the Clippers and these two teams who have familiarity now after their game a few weeks ago to be better on the defensive side of the ball as well.

Indian Cowboy's Picks For NHL Hockey

3-Unit Play. #52 Take Washington Capitals +115 vs. Pittsburgh (Sunday @ 12:35 pm est)
Washington continues its three-game homestand with its traditional Super Bowl Sunday matinee match against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Verizon Center. The Caps started the homestand on a strong note, defeating the Philadelphia Flyers (3-2) on Friday night. Having started the lockout-shortened season with one win (1-5-1) in its first seven games, the Caps will need to start stacking wins in order to climb back into the chase for playoff spots in the Eastern Conference standings. Ex-Cap Tomas Vokoun will get the call in goal for the Pens on Sunday in the District. Vokoun is (2-1) with a (1.81) GAA and a (.940) save pct. in four outings (three starts) this season. Lifetime in day games (not including playoffs), Vokoun is (11-12-5) with a (2.72) GAA and a (.915) save pct. in (30) games (29 starts). Holtby will get his first career start against the Penguins in Sunday's game. For Washington fans, Pittsburgh represents perhaps the Capitals' fiercest rival. For Holtby, Sunday's game will be no different than facing any other opponent. Five of the (14) games the Caps played in last spring's Stanley Cup Playoffs were afternoon affairs. Braden Holtby was (3-2) with a (2.41) GAA and a (.911) save pct. in those games. Including the regular season, Holtby is (6-2) with a (2.13) GAA and a (.921) save pct. in eight career afternoon starts. Being a favorite hasn't suited Washington in the past few years, but having less pressure at the start could be just what the Capitals need to get on a roll and ride it all the way to the first Cup in franchise history. New coach Adam Oates is implementing a system that took the best elements from Bruce Boudreau's uptempo scheme and successor Dale Hunter's defensive-oriented game plan.
