4-STAR NEW YORK -5 over Milwaukee - New York finally got Ray Felton adjusted and back in the fold last game and are poised to go on a run here. They have their offense together and with Tyson Chandler in the middle, it's enough to slow down the Bucks.
New York defeated Orlando last game, 113-97. They shot 57.3% from the field. The Knicks are 9-0 ATS (5.6 ppg) since November 14, 2008 with at most one day of rest after a win in which they shot at least 55% from the field. Also, the Knicks are 6-0 ATS (6.7 ppg) since December 06, 2009 with at most one day of rest after a win in which they shot at least 10 percentage points higher than their season-to-date average.
That includes a volume 14-of-34 night from the three-point line. Teams which attempted at least 34 three pointers last game and shot more than 38% are 68-56-2 ATS.
Amare Stoudemire came off the bench and went 7-of-7 with 14 points in 21 minutes. The Knicks are 7-0 ATS (9.3 ppg) since March 16, 2012 after a win at home in which Amare Stoudemire played fewer than 30 minutes.
These teams haven't faced since November when New York won, 102-88. The Bucks are 0-7 ATS (-6.6 ppg) since April 09, 2008 as a dog when facing a team that covered by double digits against them in their previous same-season meeting as a dog.
Coming off the bench in that game, Larry Sanders had just two points and four rebounds. The Bucks are 0-6 ATS (-4.3 ppg) since January 24, 2011 as a dog after losing the previous matchup in which Larry Sanders had more rebounds than points.
Tyson Chandler had a crazy 17 points in that game, going 4-of-4 shooting. The Knicks are 7-0 ATS (8.9 ppg) since March 20, 2012 at home after winning the previous matchup in which Tyson Chandler took fewer than 10 shots.
SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS PREDICTION: NEW YORK 111, Milwaukee 98
4.5-STAR Cleveland and DETROIT Under 196.5 - Neither of these teams is proficient offensively yet this total is fairly high. Expect a somewhat sloppy game in this one.
Cleveland played last Tuesday in a 108-95 loss to Golden State. The Warriors went 11-of-16 on threes. The Cavaliers are 0-10 OU (-9.4 ppg) since April 10, 2001 as a dog with two or more days of rest after a game at home in which their opponent shot at least ten three-pointers and made at least half of them.
Cleveland lost despite committing just 13 fouls in the game. The Cavaliers are 0-8-1 OU (-7.6 ppg) since December 19, 2003 after a home loss in which they were whistled for fewer than 15 personal fouls.
Kyrie Irving had just 14 points in the game as Cleveland was led by Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson with 18 each. The Cavaliers are 0-11 OU (-10.7 ppg) since March 25, 2012 with at least a day of rest after a loss in which Kyrie Irving was not the Cavaliers' high scorer.
Alonzo Gee struggled in that game going 0-of-5 and was scoreless in 28 minutes. The Cavaliers are 0-8 OU (-12.1 ppg) since January 09, 2011 on the road with at least a day of rest after a loss in which Alonzo Gee shot worse than 33% from the field.
Detroit's been on a very sloppy stretch in back-to-back loss. The Pistons are 0-6 OU (-19.2 ppg) since December 20, 1995 as a home favorite when they had more turnovers than assists for two straight games.
Detroit lost 98-79 to Indiana Wednesday. They did block 10 shots in the loss. The Pistons are 0-8-1 OU (-6.3 ppg) since April 17, 2007 as a favorite with at most one day of rest after a game in which they blocked at least 10 shots.
They went an embarrassing 12-of-27 from the foul line in the loss. The Pistons are 0-7 OU (-23.9 ppg) since March 26, 2006 as a favorite with at most one day of rest after a game on the road in which they shot less than 60% from the free-throw line.
Greg Monroe led Detroit's effort in the game with 18 points. The Pistons are 0-5 OU (-13.6 ppg) since November 18, 2012 at home after a loss in which Greg Monroe was the Pistons' high scorer.
Brandon Knight struggled going just 3-of-12 with seven points. The Pistons are 0-5 OU (-13.7 ppg) since January 20, 2012 at home after a loss on the road in which Brandon Knight shot worse than 33% from the field.
SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS PREDICTION: Cleveland 94, DETROIT 92
4-STAR Sacramento +7 over PHILADELPHIA - This 76ers really isn't good enough to be favored like this against many teams. Particularly anybody who plays in the Western Conference. This is a case of misleading record with two teams which are fairly even overall, giving you several extra points on the line.
Philadelphia is coming off a 92-84 home win over Washington Wednesday. The big key for them in the game was attempting 95 more field goal attempts than the Wizards. The Seventysixers are 0-10 ATS (-12.6 ppg) since January 29, 2003 as a favorite after a win in which they had at least 15 more shot attempts than their opponent.
Evan Turner was one 76ers who struggled, going 3-of-11 from the field with six points. The Seventysixers are 0-10 ATS (-8.6 ppg) since January 25, 2012 with at least a day of rest after a win in which Evan Turner shot worse than 33% from the field.
That was after they he scored 27 points in a loss to Memphis prior. The Seventysixers are 0-7 ATS (-9.5 ppg) since October 30, 2010 after Evan Turner decreased his scoring by at least 15 points over their past two games.
Sacramento is coming off a poor 99-81 loss to Boston. They had just 13 assists in the game. The Kings are 8-0 ATS (10.8 ppg) since November 24, 1995 on the road with at least one day of rest after a double digit road loss in which less than 45% of their baskets were assisted.
Tyreke Evans had just two of those in 42 minutes of action in the loss. The Kings are 4-0 ATS (8.8 ppg) since January 17, 2011 on the road with at least a day of rest after a loss on the road in which Tyreke Evans played more than 40 minutes.
