I think this is a game that Pittsburgh can rout Notre Dame in. Sure, Notre Dame comes off a tough loss to Providence losing by 17 on the road but I don't think the Irish get over that hangover and it carries into today against Pitt who themselves come off a tough loss. If Notre Dame scored 47 points against Georgetown on the road and lost 63-47, they face a similar if not better defense in PIttsburgh today who is peeved and who comes off a loss as well. Notre Dame's defense is ranked top 200 in the nation as they do struggle on the defensive side of the ball and as they face a Pittsburgh team who come off getting hammered at Marquette losing by 10 points on the road, a team that beat Syracuse by 10 points at home, beat Cincy by 10 points on the road, has a top 20 defense and a top 10 offense, don't be surprised to see the public likely taking the bait too much with the points here as I think Pitt could win this game going away as I have this game as a 15-17 point differential given the offensive and defensive splits. The Fighting Irish are just 1-5 ATS this year when facing teams with a winning percentage of greater than 60% and Pitt is a solid 8-2 ATS this year coming off an straight up loss.

The Maple Leafs are (0-5) in the last (5) meetings at the BB&T Center, Sunrise, Florida. The ?Black Cats? had a great year last year, but their future even looks better. And that's what the ?Panther Nation? is excited about. Florida wins at home against a team they have owned.

1-Unit Pick Take Over 5.5 Carolina at Montreal (7:35 pm, Monday, February 18)
This total is a little puzzling with under money attached, I think the 5.5 is right but the under money gives good value especially with Montreal back up goaltender Peter Budaj in net which is a drop off from starter Carey Price who is out with the flu. This will be the second straight start for Budaj who started Saturday beating the Flyers 4-1 but wasn't really tested by a Philadelphia team playing their second game in two nights only putting 19 shots on net. Carolina is a different story scoring three goals or more in seven straight games that includes 20 goals in their last five road games. Carolina will be missing two key defenseman with Joni Pitkanen and Tim Gleason out while Montreal has defenseman P.K Subban playing with the flu and Alexei Emelin playing hurt. Both teams play fast up tempo hockey, we could get some help for a Montreal power play looking to get back on track after starting the season off converting in 11 of their first 41 opportunities against a Carolina penalty kill that has allowed 6 goals on their last 11 kills. Should be scoring tonight.
