          Hondo

          Baltimore Orioles

"Hondo breezed last night with the Blue Jays, who, as expected by HondoNation, roughed up the Rangers to lower the accounts payable to 225 cuellars.
Today, Mr. Aitch will give the Orioles the menial task of beating Lackey – 10 units on Garcia."

Saturday's National League betting cheat sheet and tips

Check out our quick-hitting betting notes on all of Saturday’s National League games.

Chicago Cubs at New York Mets (-118, 7)

Weather: Temperatures in the mid-70s and wind blowing from left to right at nine mph.

Probable starters: Cubs RH Scott Feldman (5-5, 3.22 ERA) vs. Mets LH Jon Niese (3-5, 4.24)

Feldman is 1-1 with a 4.63 ERA in two starts against New York. Niese has recorded four straight quality starts but has not won since May 16. He is 2-3 with a 5.61 ERA in six starts against the Cubs. The Cubs are 5-1 in the last six meetings in New York.

San Francisco Giants at Atlanta Braves (-196, 7)

Weather: Sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s.

Probable starters: Giants RH Chad Gaudin (2-1, 2.32 ERA) vs. Braves LH Mike Minor (8-2, 2.44)

Gaudin bounced between the bullpen and the rotation early in his career but had not made a start since 2009 before stepping up with back-to-back quality starts this month. Minor has not allowed more than two earned runs in his last seven outings and has recorded eight straight quality starts. The Giants are 6-1 in their last seven vs. National League East.

Los Angeles Dodgers at Pittsburgh Pirates (N/A, N/A)

Weather: Temperatures in the high-70s with wind blowing out to left field at seven mph.

Probable starters: Dodgers LH Clayton Kershaw (5-4, 1.88 ERA) vs. Pirates RH Brandon Cumpton (NR)

Kershaw is 2-1 with a 2.57 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in seven starts against Pittsburgh. Cumpton was 4-4 with a 3.31 ERA in 11 games (10 starts) with Triple-A Indianapolis. The under is 4-1 in Kershaws last five starts vs. Pirates.

Philadelphia Phillies at Colorado Rockies (-144, 10)

Weather: Temperatures in the high-70s with a 30 percent chance of rain.

Probable starters: Phillies RH Jonathan Pettibone (3-2, 3.70 ERA) vs. Rockies RH Tyler Chatwood (3-1, 2.17)

Pettibone was unbeaten and had not allowed more than three runs in any of his first seven starts. Chatwood had to skip his last turn due to soreness in his triceps, which forced him out of a June 3 start against Cincinnati after giving up one run in four innings. The Phillies are 20-8 in the last 28 meetings in Colorado.

St. Louis Cardinals at Miami Marlins (+174, 7.5)

                          Weather: Retractable roof

Probable starters: Cardinals RH Lance Lynn (8-1, 3.00 ERA) vs. Marlins RH Tom Koehler (0-4, 3.91)

Lynn has won three straight decisions since suffering his lone to the Chicago Cubs on May 7. Koehler took a no-decision in his last outing when he gave up four runs and six hits in seven innings against the New York Mets. The over is 7-1 in Cardinals last eight games following a loss.

Milwaukee Brewers at Cincinnati Reds (-168, 8.5)

Weather: Temperatures in the low-80s with wins blowing right to left at seven mph.

Probable starters: Brewers RH Yovani Gallardo (5-6, 4.74 ERA) vs. Reds RH Homer Bailey (4-4, 3.47)

Gallardo has lasted just four innings on two occasions this year, the first in Cincinnati on May 10 when he walked a season high-tying five men. After ending May on a sour note, Bailey has yielded three earned runs in 15 innings this month. The over is 9-3-2 in Gallardo's last 14 starts with four days of rest.

Arizona Diamondbacks at San Diego Padres (-102, 8)

Weather: Temperatures will be in the low-60s.

Probable starters: Diamondbacks LH Wade Miley (4-5, 4.89 ERA) vs. Padres RH Jason Marquis (8-2, 3.59)

After giving up seven runs in back-to-back starts, Miley has turned in two consecutive quality outings. He received a no-decision against the Dodgers on Monday, when he allowed three runs on nine hits over six innings. Marquis' surprising season continued against Atlanta on Monday, when he allowed two runs over 7 2/3 innings en route to winning his seventh straight decision. Todd Tichenor is behind the plate. The over is 8-3-1 in Tichenors last 12 games behind home plate vs. Arizona.

Saturday's American League betting cheat sheet and tips

Check out our quick-hitting betting notes on all of Saturday’s American League games.

Boston Red Sox at Baltimore Orioles (-102, 9.5)

Weather: Low-80s and sunny skies. Winds will blow from left to right at 10 mph.

Probable starters: Red Sox RH John Lackey (3-5, 3.14 ERA) vs. Orioles RH Freddy Garcia (3-3, 4.47)

Lackey is 11-4 with a 3.35 ERA in 19 career starts vs. the Orioles. Garcia won for the third time in four starts in his last outing, holding the Los Angeles Angels to two runs over six innings. Jeff Nelson will behind the plate calling balls and strikes. The Red Sox are 1-5 in their last six games with Nelson behind home plate.

Toronto Blue Jays at Texas Rangers (-118, 10)

Weather: Temperatures in the low-90s but there is a 30 percent chance of rain.

Probable starters: Blue Jays RH R.A. Dickey (5-8, 5.11 ERA) vs. Rangers RH Josh Lindblom (0-1, 5.91)

Dickey was tagged for seven runs on 10 hits over five innings against the White Sox last time out and has lost three of his last four starts. Lindblom was handed a spot start earlier this week with Aexi Ogando hurt. He held the Cleveland Indians to three runs over six strong innings, prompting manager Ron Washington to give him another turn. The Blue Jays are 5-0 in their last five games as an underdog.

Kansas City Royals at Tampa Bay Rays (-167, 7.5)

                              Weather: Dome

Probable starters: Royals RH Jeremy Guthrie (7-3, 3.60 ERA) vs. Rays RH Alex Cobb (6-2, 2.95)

Guthrie has produced three straight quality starts - allowing five runs over 18 1/3 innings and earning two victories. Cobb has not lost since April 30 against Kansas City, when he allowed four runs in the sixth after five scoreless innings. Mark Wenger will be behind home plate and the under is 7-0 in Wegners last seven games calling balls and strikes.

Detroit Tigers at Minnesota Twins (+147, 8.5)

Weather: Partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low-80s. Winds will blow right to left at eight mph.

Probable starters: Tigers RH Anibal Sanchez (6-5, 2.65 ERA) vs. Twins RH Samuel Deduno (2-1, 3.47)

Sanchez' one-hitter last month marked the first time he has defeated the Twins (1-2 in five starts) despite a nifty 2.56 ERA. Deduno was hit hard while losing to the Tigers on May 24, when he allowed six runs and nine hits in 5 1/3 innings in his first start of the season. Probable starters: White Sox LH John Danks (1-2, 4.13 ERA) vs. Astros RH Lucas Harrell (4-7, 4.52)

Danks is coming off a dominant outing on June 8, when he held the Oakland Athletics to one run and three hits over eight innings while retiring the final 21 batters he faced. Harrell has won only one of his last eight starts despite yielding fewer than two earned runs four times in that span. White Sox are 1-10 in their last 11 road games.

Phelps is coming off back-to-back impressive outings after being tagged for five runs while retiring just one batter on May 29 against the New York Mets. Hanson has lasted more than six innings just once in seven starts this season, going 6 1/3 in a loss to the Houston Astros on May 31. The under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Los Angeles.

The Mariners are 17-6 in Hernandez's last 23 starts vs. the Athletics.

After allowing a season-high seven runs in his final outing in May, Zimmermann has yet to surrender an earned run in two June starts. Kazmir will make his first career start against Washington, one of five teams he has never faced. The Nationals are 5-1 in their last 6 games vs. a left-handed starter.
