401 DET / 402 CLE OVER 41.5 Hilton double-dime bet
Analysis:
If we learned anything about the first full week of preseason it's that games were flying over the total. This one should go over, too.
The Lions want more production from their No. 1 offense. Matthew Stafford was just 3-for-8 for 58 yards. The Lions are a premier passing team and should come out throwing. Their first-string offense is expected to play into the second quarter. Cleveland is banged-up in the secondary.
Detroit has a top backup quarterback, Shaun Hill. He posted a 103 rating last week against the Jets throwing a touchdown pass.
The Browns' offense looked good last week under new head coach, offensive-minded Rob Chudzinski. Cleveland put up 27 points on the Rams last Thursday at home, including 20 in the first half.
This is the Browns' final preseason home game so Chudzinski wants to keep the home base happy. That should mean maintaining a strong offensive commitment. The Browns have one of the better quarterback rotations for preseason games with a hungry Brandon Weeden backed by veterans Jason Campbell and Brian Hoyer. Star running back Trent Richardson also is slated to see his first action. Cleveland's starters are scheduled to play into the second quarter.
The Lions also are banged up in the secondary. They will be without at least two starters.

413 OAK / 414 NOS OVER 42.0 Hilton triple-dime bet
Analysis:
There were 11 overs and five unders (69 percent) during last week's first full preseason slate. One of the few unders was the Saints edging the Chiefs, 17-13.
I don't see the Saints having a second straight low scoring game at home especially going against a weak defense such as Oakland's.
New Orleans has no more home preseason games after this one. So I fully expect Saints coach Sean Payton to let his offense fire away in this matchup. The Saints, especially with Payton back, have the capability to put up big points against any foe whether it's preseason or not. An indoor setting, like this, certainly is a plus for the over, too.
The Saints have a good veteran battle going on for second-string behind DrewBrees between Seneca Wallace and LukeMcCown, who was 18 for 26 for 216 yards and two touchdowns against the Chiefs.
The Raiders will be operating against a New Orleans defense that surrendered the most yards in NFL history last year. Rob Ryan, one of the more overrated defensive coordinators, has been brought in to fix things. So the Saints defense is in transition.
Oakland quarterback Matt Flynn was one of the best August quarterback for years when he backed up Aaron Rodgers. He's backed up by Terrelle Pryor, who can cause pro ‚blems with his legs to non-conference foes like the Saints who haven't seen him, nor have specifically game-planned for him.
Another day, another 14-inning loss. Hondo, who lost in 14 Tuesday night with the Bucs, took the same road to doom yesterday with the Orioles, whose loss to the D’backs pushed the debt to 545 templetons.
Today, Mr. Aitch will revisit some St. Louis-style Lynn-sanity — 20 units on the Cards to slay A.J. Tonight, he expects Guthrie to write a happy tune in Detroit — 20 units on the formerly sizzling Royals.

Los Angeles Angels vs New York Yankees
Take: Total 8½ ov-110
in 31m
*3 Star MLB Totals TKO* The Los Angeles Angels have essentially packed it up for the season. The Angels still have some very talented hitters, so I expect them to put runs on the board against subpar pitchers such as Phil Hughes, but they will give up a lot of runs as well. Hughes has a horrible 8.38 ERA in his career against the Angels. Wilson has struggled on the road this year, and the Yankees offense is much better now with Granderson back and Soriano killing it in the middle of the order. The over is 20-5-1 in Wilson's last 26 road starts. Take the over here.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs St. Louis Cardinals
Take: St. Louis Cardinals -127
in 1h
*3 Star MLB Early Bird Special* The St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates meet in an extremely important rubber match of a three-game series on Thursday. St. Louis needs this game more than Pittsburgh does, and they'll get a nice boost from Yadier Molina being back. Molina is so key to this team's success because of his ability as a catcher and in the middle of the lineup. Lance Lynn has been great at home, and the Cardinals clearly have the better lineup. The Pirates are 0-4 in A.J. Burnett's last 4 road starts. They are 0-8 in his last 8 starts as an underdog of +110 to +150. The Cardinals are 4-0 in Lynn's last 4 against a team with a winning record. The Cardinals are 4-0 in Lynn's last 4 starts as a favorite of -110 to -150. A 20-0 angle backs this play. Take the Cardinals here.

Cincinnati Reds vs Milwaukee Brewers
Take: Total 7½ un-101
in 7h
*4 Star MLB Play of Day* The Cincinnati Reds swept the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field thanks to some tremendous pitching. The Milwaukee Brewers had a late game in Texas last night, and they are liable to be a little worn out for this one. Kyle Lohse has been amazing all year for the Brewers though, and the Reds have struggled to hit him in the past. Cincinnati's offense has been rather cold of late, and I don't see them coming out of it here. Tony Cingrani is one of baseball's best young pitchers, and he has been rolling of late. The under is 6-0 in Lohse's last 6 home games against a team with a winning record. The under is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings between these two in Milwaukee. The under is 12-1 in Lohse's last 13 starts against a team with a winning record. The under is 5-0 in the Brewers last 5 as a home underdog. The under is 7-1-1 in the Reds last 9 road games. In all, a 35-2 angle backs this play. Take the under.
