Wednesday's Champions League betting cheat sheet

The final week of the Champions League group stage continues Wednesday with a few spots still up for grabs. Group F remains the most interesting with Arsenal, Dortmund and Napoli all jostling for the top-two spots. It would take a miracle for the Gunners to miss the next round, but nothing is etched in stone yet.

    Napoli v Arsenal (+150, +260, +188)

Why bet Napoli: The Partenopei will be playing in front of a sold out, raucous San Paolo Stadium with the home supporters willing the Serie A giants into the next round. They've won their previous two home games in the group stage and a third, paired with a Dortmund loss at Marseille, would see them through. Regardless, Napoli will be playing to win. Bottom line.

Key players out/doubtful: Juan Zuñiga, Giandomenico Mesto, Marek Hamsik, Anthony Réveillere

Why bet Arsenal: The Gunners will try to expose a team that will be lacking in confidence. Napoli has just one win in its previous three Serie A fixtures and will have to rely on Goran Pandev in the central-playmaker role if Hamsik is out. The Gunners lead the group and a draw at the very least ensures their passage to the next round. They handled Napoli in London and will more-than-likely field a first choice XI (except Carl Jenkinson at RB possibly) to do so once again.

Key players out/doubtful: Bacary Sagna, Mathieu Flamini, Lukas Podolski, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Reverse fixture result: Arsenal 2, Napoli 0

Key betting note: Arsenal has kept opposing teams off the score sheet in six of its last eight Champions League matches.

    Schalke v Basel (-143, +300, +425)

Why bet Schalke: The Bundesliga side is currently third in the group and will look for a full three points to advance. They're just one point behind their opponents and a little banged up, but have won three and drawn one in their last five domestic matches. Also, they took all three points from the meeting in Switzerland in the reverse fixture.

Key players out/doubtful: Jermaine Jones, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Dennis Aogo, Marco Höger

Why bet Basel: The Swiss club just need a draw to slip into the next round. They are healthy, they are coming off a 1-0 win over Chelsea in their last Champions League game and haven't lost in the Swiss Super League since August 11. Basel is a certainly more than capable of going into Germany and dashing Schalke's dreams.

    Key players out/doubtful: N/A

Reverse fixture result: Basel 0, Schalke 1

    Wednesday's other matches with odds:

    AC Milan v Ajax (-150, +280, +500)
    Atletico Madrid v FC Porto (+115, +250, +270)
    Barcelona v Celtic (-550, +700, +1800)
    Chelsea v Steaua Bucharest (-500, +650, +1600)
FK Austria Vienna v Zenit St. Petersburg (+500, +320, -163)
    Marseille v Borussia Dortmund (+650, +400, -225)
