2-Unit Play. Take #824 Brown (-12.5) over Cornell (7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31)
This game is a mismatch. Cornell is one of the worst teams in college basketball. They are 1-15
and they are 0-9 on the road. This team is really bad. Brown has won three of four games and
they are one of the stronger teams in the Ivy League. They are 5-2 ATS in their last seven
league games while Cornell is just 2-6 ATS in their last eight Ivy League games. Cornell was blown
out by 16 in their last game at home against Columbia. Cornell is going to keep struggling and get
blown out again here. Lay the points.
THUNDER @ NETS - O197.5 -105 *4* BEST BET
Just need the show up for this one - we 100% believe they will. The Thunder are on an incredible
scoring streak (100+ points 9 straight games) and will get their's tonight. The Nets have scored
101+ points in their last 5 home games. We believe we need 95 from them tonight to cash this
over.
RAPTORS @ NUGGETS - O205 -105 *3*
The Raptors are not only winning games, they piling up the points doing so. The Nuggets are also
scoring 108 ppg and allowing 108.2 points over their L5. Both teams hit triple digits here tonight.
TIMBERWOLVES +1 -102 *2*
Twolves too good of a home team to be home dogs here, even against the red hot Bucks. The Wolves have a point differential of +8.1 while playing at home while the Grizz are just +2.3 on
road.
MAGIC -5 -102 *2*
Going to continue to fade the Bucks until the let us down. Simple as that. The Bucks have been
blown out in 7 consecutive road games and we're banking for 8 tonight

3-Unit Play. #823. Take Cornell +12.5 over Brown (Friday @ 7pm est).
Friday Night Basketball always is about taking the ugliest underdog you can find on the board.
From the last 15 years of tracking, it is always Friday Night Lights that is about taking the ugliest
Ivy League Underdog. Such is the case here with a Cornell team that has just 1 win on the year. With a limited card, its a decent public fade on Brown and when you get to power rankings of two
teams outside the top 200, it gets to be more of a toss-up than anything else as there is too much parity. Cornell is not known for their prowess in basketball by any means but this is a good
spot for them as they come off back to back games against a top 100 team in Columbia losing by
10 and 16 points. Now, as they face a squad that is outside the top 200 essentially it's not that
shocking to find them possibly falling inside the 12.5 especially with revenge from last year. Plus,
this is likely to be a low scoring game and to get 12.5 points in a half-court offensive game makes
a statistical sense as well. Note, Cornell has covered 2 of 3 in this series and with Brown not too
excited about playing a team that has just 1 win this year, plus coming off a big win over rival
Yale look for Cornell to likely do surprisingly well. Note, Brown has faced other teams around the
top 300 this year such as New Hampshire and beat them by just 4 points 72-68 or Central
Connecticut and beat them by 11 points at home 72-61. So, what you have here is a small public
fade, but more importantly, Cornell is much more interested in this game coming off back to back
games of facing a top 100 team, now facing a top 200 team who does not have a great record
against top 300 squads and on top of all that, is on a let down and in a game that is expected to
be around the high 130's, look for Cornell to do well grabbing the 12.5 points as they likely fall by
8-9 points this evening.

3 Unit Play Take #819 Penn +2.5 over Dartmouth (7:00pm est):
I like Penn head coach Jerome Allen a lot. I feel he gives the Quakers a toughness that shows up
in a big way on their defense. We see that in the numbers also as Penn defends down by the
basket very well. A lot of that reason stems from having a big body like Darian Nelson-Henry
around the rim. The 6 foot 11 center missed a few games and the Quakers looked like a totally
different team during that time he was out. Now that he is back again I think Penn can cause
some damage this season. Look no further than their huge upset win over a solid Princeton squad
a few games back.
Dartmouth has a big body themselves in Gabas Maldunas. It's important at the Ivy league level to
have big men as most teams already have solid guard play but the difference comes down low
with the bigger bodies. Dartmouth though lost Maldunas to injury and their first game without him
was a total disaster. The Big Green are a team with no wins over a squad with even a pulse this
year. Penn has a pulse.
Play Penn here.
3 Unit Play Take #829 Rider +1.5 over Saint Peter's (7:00pm est):
Rider is the much better of these two teams. They almost went on the road and beat Canisius
before losing in double overtime. They beat a solid Quinnipiac as well in conference play. They
have established themselves of the better of the so called average to below average MAAC teams
with a 5-1 record over Saint Peter's, Monmouth, Marist and Niagara thus far. even their loss to a
very good Manhattan sqaud can be excused as they played them the game after Manhattan was
beaten and the Jaspers were no doubt fired up for their next game which happened to be versus
Rider.
Saint Peter's has lost three straight games coming into this one. Their win over Fairfield was a
total fluke victory. Most of their losses weren't as close as the final score either as the Peacocks
tightened things up in garbage time. The only reason this team has seven wins thus far has more
to do with the fact they faced one of the easiest non-conference schedules in the country and
went 4-4 versus it. Even their huge upset over Seton Hall was mired by the fact Seton Hall was
without their best player in the game. It was a rather fluke game overall as Saint Peter's knocked
down an incredible 10 of 19 three pointers in the contest.

2 Unit Play. Take #817 Over 132 - Cleveland St at Detroit (7:00p.m., Friday, Jan 31 ESPN2)
These two teams met 3 weeks ago and Cleveland St won by double-digits 73-63. That game went
under but the total was posted 139. Tonight I see Detroit looking for some revenge and also
looking for back-to-back wins. I'm hoping Detroit scores in the 70 range like they did against
Illinois-Chicago.

2-Unit Play. #807 Oklahoma City Thunder -4 over the Brooklyn Nets (Jan 31 @ 8pm ET)
The red hot Oklahoma City Thunder who has rattled of nine straight wins head to Brooklyn to take
on the inconsistent Nets team. Since Russel Westbrook went down to injury Kevin Durant has
carried the weight of his team on his back posting more than 30 points in every game played in
the past 3 1/2 weeks. Durant has managed to break the 30 point mark or higher the past 12
straight games and 16 out of the last 18 overall. Brooklyn was well on its way to a critical win
over Toronto , a victory that would have moved the Nets to within a half-game of the Atlantic
Division-leading Raptors. But Toronto's Patrick Patterson intercepted Brooklyn's inbounds pass, hit
the go-ahead basket and watched as Paul Pierce's 3-point jumper was off the mark as time
expired. Nets are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater
than .600 and the Thunder are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Brooklyn. The Thunder are just a
red hot team and I don't see Brooklyn being able to slow down the attack of Durant and company.
Take the Thunder at -4 here.

Cleveland St at Detroit
Pretty good Cleveland St visits Detroit tonight in a Horizon League matchup that the road Vikings
need badly for their seeding in the conference. Detroit is just 10-13 on the season and has really
struggled but coming off a win vs. Illinois-Chicago. The Vikings have won three straight, including
two away from home. They are 5-7 on the road this season but 9-3 ATS over those games. The
difference in this game is that Cleveland State is much better defensively while it seems like
Detroit really struggles to keep teams from scoring, especially getting to the basket. Gary Waters
does a solid job at Cleveland State and we think he's going to have his Vikings ready to go
tonight. The Sharps say...

3-Unit Play #801 Take Milwaukee/Orlando - OVER 193.5 (7 p.m. EST, Friday)
Both of these teams stink offensively, but both defenses are also pretty lousy, and we see both
offenses having a rare successful night. Both of these defenses allow more than 101 points per
game. The Bucks offense has had some success when they have played bad defenses lately.
They put up 117 on the Suns the last time out and put up 104 against Detroit. The Bucks have
given up 100 or more in 10 of their last 13 games, and seven of those 10 saw the opponent score
110 or more. Orlando should be able to get their points by virtue of being at home and facing this
lousy defense, and they have been giving up a ton of points as well on a regular basis. And we
think the winning team here has a great chance to get over the century mark. Both teams should
come out to play tonight in a rare chance for both teams to notch a win.
