Rotation #119-120
Pittsburgh -3.5 over Virginia Tech
Pitt is playing today to get bowl eligible.* This is a team that is playing with a purpose not just for their team, but their entire city.* Virginia Tech has not been the same team we have seen in years past.* This Bud Foster Defense just does not have the talent or the experience this year needed to win the games they typically win.* Pitt has more talent on both sides of the football and should chew up yards today with both of their reliable senior running backs.* This is a good Panthers Football team that has not turned the ball over in over a month.**Take Pittsburgh.
3-Unit Play. #762 Take Marist (-2.5) over Columbia (7 p.m., Saturday, November 10)
This doesn't seem to be too frequent a comment, but perhaps look out for Marist this year. The Red Foxes have all five starters back and a team that surely will not lay down with its experience. There are a handful of very winnable games on the non-conference schedule, so this should be a great opportunity for Marist to gain some early season momentum.
3-Unit Play. #728 Take Saint Louis (-10.5) over Troy (8 p.m., Saturday, November 10)
Saint Louis has one of its most talented teams yet. They've been a punching bag most of the last decade in the A-10. Troy lost a lot of talent from last year, so these are two teams going in completely opposite driections. Travis Ford has himself a team, and Saint Louis take this one with a big win over the Trojans. Better team from the better conference here.
3-Unit Play. #771 Take Illinois State (+3.5) over Belmont (8 p.m., Saturday, November 10)
Maybe just maybe this is the year ISU can win the Missouri Valley. Head coach Dan Muller has just as much talent on his team as any mid-major in the country. Belmont is an established mid-major themselves, always good to great. But this Redbirds team is going to be really, really good. I like them as a small underdog here to win outright over the Bruins.
3-Unit Play. #740 Take Pepperdine (-10) over CS Northridge (10 p.m., Saturday, November 10)
The Waves are another mid-major team on the come up in their respective conference. Pepperdine hired Lorenzo Romar, formerly of Washington, and he knows the College Basketball landscape all too well. With a lot of talent at his disposal, look for a strong start to this season.
3-Unit Play. #744 Take UNLV (-4.5) over Loyola Marymount (10 p.m., Saturday, November 10)
Myself and most aren't really high on this LMU team. At best they are a middle of the road team in the West Coast Confernece. UNLV should be light work of them here. It's a modest number all things considered. Take the favorite to come through with a good victory.
Best of Luck -
