    DALLAS -113
    DALLAS @ LOS ANGELES | 2/28 | 10:30 PM EST
    9:30 AM
Dallas is breathing down the necks of Colorado, Minnesota and Vegas for playoff spots and HAS to win these types of games in order to go on to the postseason. The Kings are trying to be a spoiler but unfortunately they are just not very good and often give up tonnes of goals when they lose. I’m sticking with the tried and tested handicapping method which states: “goods teams don’t lose to bad teams at crunch time -- if they do they aren't a good team to start with”. Take Dallas tonight to win.

    UNDER 5.5
    VANCOUVER @ ARIZONA | 2/28 | 9:00 PM EST
    9:29 AM
Both teams go back and forth winning and losing without any sense of consistency BUT both can play close to the belt defensively and Arizona has a real aversion to scoring more than three goals a game in most cases. The Coyotes have participated in games of six goals or more in only 30 percent of their games. I don't see the light being turned on. Take the under.

    UNDER 5.5
    TORONTO @ N.Y. ISLANDERS | 2/28 | 7:00 PM EST
    9:28 AM
This is a real head-scratcher from the win/loss perspective, both Toronto and the Islanders are greatly overrated as playoff/Cup contending teams despite their lofty position in the league standings. The Islanders have, for the past month, amassed an less-than impressive win record (7-6) mostly against the worst teams in the NHL. Likewise Toronto has yet to prove it can compete defensively AND now has Nazim Kadri, Jake Gardiner and Travis Dermott on the injury list. The Leafs lost 4-0 to the Isles in December at home and now go into a hostile environment for John Tavares’s return to the Island. Take the UNDER in this one -- the game should be tight and hard hitting and the goalies will be the story in this one.

      DENVER -7
      UTAH @ DENVER | 2/28 | 10:30 PM EST
      4:55 PM
The Jazz will be without Ricky Rubio on Thursday night, forcing Donovan Mitchell to play point guard. Plus, Utah exerted extra energy last night coming back from a halftime deficit to the Clippers. Meanwhile, the Nuggets are finally playing with their top eight players and they are 3-0 ATS since the All-Star break and 22-9 at home in 2018-19.

      UNDER 127.5
      UC IRVINE @ UC DAVIS | 2/28 | 11:00 PM EST
      4:23 PM
The total has gone Under in 16 of UC Irvine's last 21 road games, and UC Davis has gone Under in 35 of its last 51 home games. Both teams play at a very slow pace -- UC Irvine is 283rd in time of possession and UC Davis is No. 200. I made this total 117, which easily goes Under 127.5.

      OVER 157.5
      COASTAL CAROLINA @ LOUISIANA | 2/28 | 8:00 PM EST
      4:14 PM
Both teams play at a high tempo, especially UL Lafayette who likes to pressure on defense which forces their opponents into quick shots. Plus, the Rajin' Cajuns rank 18th in tempo. With both teams tied at 7-7 in the Sun Belt Conference and two games out of a bye with four games to go, I see this game being played at a frantic pace. Over 157.5 is the play.

        DALLAS @ LOS ANGELES | 2/28 | 10:30 PM EST
        4:05 PM
These are two teams that just can’t score goals. Dallas and Los Angeles have the 29th and 30th ranked offenses in the league, respectively. Jamie Benn is battling an upper-body injury. Jonathan Quick has had atrocious back-to-back starts but this will be a really good spot for him to bounce back. Take the Under on Thursday.

          GOLDEN ST. -6.5
          GOLDEN ST. @ ORLANDO | 2/28 | 7:00 PM EST
          11:35 AM
The Warriors were beaten at the buzzer Wednesday in Miami. Now they head to Orlando motivated and with DeMarcus Cousins back in the lineup. They're 5-0 ATS in their last five trips to Orlando, and with the Nuggets just a half-game back and losers of three of five, it's time the malaise that hits Golden State too often turns into a true focus. That spells bad news for the inconsistent Magic, who have won six of eight but with losses to the Knicks and Bulls in there. It's time for the Warriors to show a little might at the expense of the Magic.

          INDIANA -3.5
          MINNESOTA @ INDIANA | 2/28 | 7:00 PM EST
          11:28 AM
The Pacers have lost two home games in the last month, and those were to the Bucks and Warriors. Of those eight wins, all were by at least four points and six of them were by at least 12. The Wolves, meanwhile, have won one road game all month, and that was against the Knicks. All but one of their defeats were by at least four points. Both teams played last night, but Indy has been better at the second game of back-to-backs, too. Follow the trends and lay the small number on the home team.

These are two of the best defensive teams in the NBA, and the Under has been a smart play when they meet. In fact, the Under has gone 20-6 in their last 26 matchups and 14-3 the last 17 times they've played in Denver. Plus, while the Under is only 1-1 in the first two meetings, the Over came in a game where the total was 216. When they last played in Denver the final score was 103-88. Take the Under.

I have always had a difficult time trusting poor defensive teams to cover as favorites, and this is a matchup between two teams that aren't very good at stopping opponents from scoring. While Appalachian State's defense has been worse overall, it's been slightly better than ULM's during conference play, and one thing it's good at is not fouling. Nobody sends opponents to the free throw line less often during Sun Belt play than the Mountaineers, which is crucial against a ULM team that is third in the nation at 79.7% from the charity stripe. App State won the first meeting, and it'll cover the second.

              MARSHALL +6
              MARSHALL @ LOUISIANA TECH | 2/28 | 7:30 PM EST
              8:29 AM
Louisiana Tech is a team that has trouble finding consistency on the court. It's been the best defensive team in Conference USA during conference play by far, but it's offense is awful. The Bulldogs are 13th of 14 teams in eFG% and 14th from three, and dead last from the free throw line as well, shooting only 60.6%. And that's why i have a difficult time trusting them against a Marshall team that's porous defensively, but has the capability of lighting you up on offense. These two went to OT in their first meeting, and the Bulldogs pulled away. I'm not sure they can this time.
