Dallas is breathing down the necks of Colorado, Minnesota and Vegas for playoff spots and HAS to win these types of games in order to go on to the postseason. The Kings are trying to be a spoiler but unfortunately they are just not very good and often give up tonnes of goals when they lose. I’m sticking with the tried and tested handicapping method which states: “goods teams don’t lose to bad teams at crunch time -- if they do they aren't a good team to start with”. Take Dallas tonight to win.

VANCOUVER @ ARIZONA | 2/28 | 9:00 PM EST

Both teams go back and forth winning and losing without any sense of consistency BUT both can play close to the belt defensively and Arizona has a real aversion to scoring more than three goals a game in most cases. The Coyotes have participated in games of six goals or more in only 30 percent of their games. I don't see the light being turned on. Take the under.

TORONTO @ N.Y. ISLANDERS | 2/28 | 7:00 PM EST
9:28 AM
This is a real head-scratcher from the win/loss perspective, both Toronto and the Islanders are greatly overrated as playoff/Cup contending teams despite their lofty position in the league standings. The Islanders have, for the past month, amassed an less-than impressive win record (7-6) mostly against the worst teams in the NHL. Likewise Toronto has yet to prove it can compete defensively AND now has Nazim Kadri, Jake Gardiner and Travis Dermott on the injury list. The Leafs lost 4-0 to the Isles in December at home and now go into a hostile environment for John Tavares’s return to the Island. Take the UNDER in this one -- the game should be tight and hard hitting and the goalies will be the story in this one.
