This one fits the same angles as our play this afternoon with George Washington. The market has over reacted to the fact that Illinois had to go to OT last night. I like a team that has a game under their belt and won in a tight game vs a team playing it’s first Tournament game. You can’t get any tighter than OT right? Playing in that kind of game vs a team that hasn’t played yet is a big advantage. Illinois plays with revenge as Iowa not only beat them during the regular season but knocked them out of Tourney last year. Iowa is just 5-12 ATS as a favorite this year. Over the last 2 seasons Iowa is just 2-10 ATS on the road following a loss. This goes to the wire as I have Illinois winning by 1-3.

This pick falls into one of my top college basketball systems and I have this game staying well under the posted total here tonight. Penn State has shot just 40.4% as a team on the road this season and they have held opponents to shooting just 38.5% against them over their last five games. Minnesota has shot just 39.8% as a team on the road this season and just 40.2% over their last five games. Minnesota has also held opponents to shooting just 39.9% against them over their last five games and neither one of these teams can shoot the ball from beyond the arc effectively. Minnesota has averaged just 62.9 points per game on the road this season and Penn State has held opponents to just 63.8 points per game over the last five games. Penn State has only average 66.2 points per game on the road this season and the over/under is 1-5 for Penn State in their last 6 neutral court games when favored. There was only 129 total points in the only meeting between these two teams this season and that was with Penn State shooting 47.1% as a team from beyond the arc and Minnesota making it to the free-throw line 30 times.
