Z RED ROCKET - Have to make this filly a strong challenger; she comes off a strong contest on May 1st. That 45 fig this filly garnered in her last event tells me she's a major player this time around. MADAME EVIL - I think this filly is very ready right now. I like the fact that DaCosta brings her back to a race so quickly. When Gonzalez and DaCosta partner up on animals the ROI has been terrific at +113. Dropping in class figure points from her May 15th race at Thistledown. Based on that key piece of info, I will give this thoroughbred the advantage.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 CALENDULA (ML=3/1), #5 CONQUEST POINT (ML=7/2), #2 SOROA (ML=6/1),

CALENDULA - Hasn't been getting close at all of late. I find it hard to wager on any horse in a short distance race at 3/1 when she hasn't shown any positive results in sprints in the last sixty days. CONQUEST POINT - Tough to bet on this racer this time. Make her show you something in a sprint race before you invest in her in a race of 5 1/2 furlongs. This racer hasn't shown much in the last pair of races. SOROA - This vulnerable equine didn't go to the front end and didn't close ground in the lane last time she ran.

This gelding's last speed figure registered on May 22nd is tops in last race speed ratings. DERBYDAYROMANCE - This gelding runs very well off of a layoff. Looking at today's class rating, this thoroughbred is meeting an easier bunch than last time around the track at Mountaineer Park. OUGHT TO B GRAND - Baird brings him right back. I advocate you stay with this hot horse. I like this horse. Has the topmost (EPS) earnings per start in this contest. DARK HELMET - Gelding took a little vacation, but has been racing into shape.

POITIER - Just don't think he is worth the risk at the given odds. FREEDOM STORM - This vulnerable equine hasn't won in his last ten races. He's not worth the value today. Mediocre rating in the last race at Charles Town at 7 furlongs. Don't believe this mount will improve too much in today's race. O'PRADO'S PRAYER - No accomplishments for this less than sharp equine in a short distance race over the last couple of months tells me that this colt is in a tough situation This colt earned a speed figure in his last race which probably isn't good enough in today's race.
