      NBA | Magic vs Pistons
      Play on: UNDER 207½ -101

The Magic have been on an 'over' streak lately but it figures to come to an end this evening. Recent 'overs' notwithstanding, the Magic are still the second lowest-scoring team in the NBA. The 102.1 ppg they average only slightly beats NY's 102 ppg. The Pistons haven't been that much better and they've scored 90 or less in two of their last three. With Orlando off a 5-point loss at Indiana, its worth mentioning that the 'under' is a profitable 42-21 the past couple of seasons, when the Magic were off a road loss. Consider the Under.

1 Unit FREE PLAY on Toronto Raptors +2
The Toronto Raptors just keep flying under the radar this season because they lost Kawhi Leonard. But they still have plenty of talent to make some noise in the East as almost everyone else is back. The Raptors are 11-4 SU & 9-6 ATS on the season. They have been unbeatable at home, going 6-0 SU & 5-1 ATS and winning by 14.1 points per game. They should not be home underdogs to the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers are 4-5 SU on the road this year. The 76ers will be playing their 3rd game in 4 days while the Raptors will be playing just their 2nd game in 5 days. Philadelphia is 4-17 ATS in their last 21 games off two or more straight ATS wins. Toronto is 16-4 ATS in their last 20 home games against division opponents. The 76ers are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 matchups in Toronto. Give me the Raptors.

            NBA | Blazers vs Bulls
            Play on: OVER 225½ -110

            1* Free Play on Blazers/Bulls over225½ -110
Both the Trail Blazers (5-12) and Bulls (6-11) have struggled throughout the early stretch of the 2019-20 season. Tonight, they’ll face off against one another in Chicago. The over/under is set at 225.5 points.
The Blazers are 4-8 on the road, four of which have come in their four most recent contests. However, they kicked off this six-game road trip with a win over the Spurs in San Antonio. The Blazers have scored at least 104 points in each of their past six games.
On average, Portland is scoring 112.5 points while allowing 116.3 points per game.
The duo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum continue to lead the Blazers. While Lillard is averaging 28.3 points per game, McCollum is averaging 22.2 points per game and has led Portland in scoring in four of their last five games.
Chicago hasn’t been very good at home or on the road, racking up six losses and just three wins in their own building. However, the Bulls have won two of their last three while scoring at least 108 points. Chicago has also allowed 115 points or more in seven of their last 10 games.
On average, the Bulls are scoring 107.9 points while allowing 110.5 points per game.
Despite the unease in Chicago, Zach LaVine has continued to be a consistent scorer. Thus far, LaVine is averaging 21.2 points per game, and is coming off a 49-point performance against Charlotte.

              NBA | Blazers vs Bulls
              Play on: OVER 225½ -110

              Jack’s Free Pick Monday: Blazers/Bulls OVER 225.5
Two teams that like to get up and down the floor in a hurry square off Monday night in Chicago. The Portland Trail Blazers are 9th in the NBA in pace at 103.4 possessions per game, while the Bulls are 8th in pace at 103.5 possessions per game.
Not to mention, these are two of the worst defensive teams in the NBA. The Blazers are giving up 116.3 points per game on the season while the Bulls are allowing 110.5 points per game. The Blazers rank 22nd in defensive efficiency this year.
Portland just got back Damian Lillard from injury and should be much better offensively moving forward. It’s a tired Blazers team that will be playing their 6th straight road game, and I think that will affect them more on the defensive end than the offensive end.
The OVER is 25-9 in Blazers last 36 vs. Eastern Conference opponents. The OVER is 7-0 in Blazers last seven Monday games. The OVER is 13-3-1 in Bulls last 17 vs. NBA Northwest Division opponents. The OVER is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings with an average of 230 combined points per game. Bet the OVER in this game Monday.

                BLAZERS @ BULLS FREE PICK
The Portland Trail Blazers have dropped six of their last seven and they've surrendered an average of 123.5 ppg through a four-game slide. Here they'll face a Chicago Bulls team that has won two of three following a 116-115 win at Charlotte on Saturday, and I think this will be another high-scoring affair.
Portland is 4-8 on the road and the over is 8-3 in the Bulls last 11 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. Chicago has an overall record of 6-11 and the over is 10-4-1 in Trail Blazers last 15 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400.

My money is on the Sharks to cash in a win at Los Angeles Monday Night. These two come in with similar records, but San Jose is playing out of their minds right now. Sharks are 8-1 in their last 9 overall. They have allowed 3 or fewer goals in all but 2 games during this stretch and are facing a Kings offense that averages just 2.6 goals on the season. BET THE SHARKS -123!

                    NHL | Sharks vs Kings
Play on: Sharks -123 at pinnacle

My 1* FREE PLAY is on the San Jose Sharks.
San Jose has won two in a row and nine of ten and I think it'll keep the foot on the gas here as well. After an atrocious start, the Sharks have completely turned things around, especially on the defensive end (just two goals allowed the last two games.)
LA won three in a row, but it enters having lost two of its last three. The Kings are one of the worst offensive teams in the league (26th) and I think they struggle to put the biscuit in the basket vs. this suddenly surging Sharks side.
                    Key Trends:
                    - San Jose is 8-3 (+4.7 units) this year vs. clubs with losing records.
                    - LA is only 4-6 vs. its division thus far this season.
The verdict: After their slow start to the 2019/20 campaign, the Sharks won't be taking anything for granted here. With the visitors focussed on the task at hand, I expect a decisive lop-sided victory; consider San Jose in this one!

1* NCAAB - Free Pick on UCLA Bruins +1 -110
I really like the spot and the price we are getting with UCLA, as the Bruins are basically a pick'em in Monday's opening round matchup with BYU at the Maui Invitational.
UCLA's perfect 4-0 start to the season and 3 straight cover run come to an end in a shocking 88-78 home loss to Hofstra (-14.5). That was just one of those games for UCLA. Good thing is we can now bank on a big effort here.
BYU on the other hand might be running on empty, as this will be their 3rd straight game away from home in the last 11 days. The last two were both grueling games, as they won 72-71 on a buzzer-beater at Houston and then fell 72-68 at Boise St in OT.
Neutral site games have not been kind to the Cougars. BYU is 19-40-1 (32%) ATS in their last 60 neutral site games. BYU is also 0-7 ATS last 2 seasons vs teams like the Bruins who are outscoring their opponents by 8+ ppg and have lost these by an average of 17.2 ppg. Take UCLA!

The Tampa Bay Lightning are starting to look like the high-scoring team that won the President's Cup last season. The Lightning have been benefiting from offensive contributions up and down the lineup in recent games, and tonight they will dominate the fraudulent Buffalo Sabres.

The thing I've appreciated most about this team is it's producing even after two of their big offensive guns went down with injuries to Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos.

The Lightning are getting major contributions from secondary scoring to offset the loss of their biggest weapons, including Anthony Cirelli, Alex Killorn and Victor Hedman - all three of whom are enjoying point streaks.

The Lightning have 11 players with at least 10 points.

Tampa Bay leads the NHL with 3.70 goals per game.

Since the start of the 2014-15 season, the Bolts are 10-1-1 at home against Buffalo, while they've won five in a row overall against the Sabres. Going back to 2013-14, the Lightning are 21-4-2 overall against the Buffalo.

Nothing like a game against the Atlanta Hawks to cure you offensive woes, as Minnesota heads to State Farm Arena tonight having been held under the century mark in each of their last pair of games - both Under the total - as the Timberwolves are riding a 4 game Under clip into this Monday meeting with the Hawks.

Look for the T-Wolves to be seeing plenty of baskets here tonight, as this is an Atlanta team that simply refuses to play defense, as the Hawks come into this Monday home game having played Over the total in 9...count 'em 9 straight games! Care to make it 10 straight Overs?

The Hawks lowest point total allowed over their last 9 games has been 119 points, so expect Minnesota to be getting things back on track in this spot tonight.

This will be the first meeting of the season between the teams, and both series showdowns last season did play Over the total to make it 3 in a row between the teams having landed Over the posted price.

Overall, 5 of the last 7 times Minnesota has played in Atlanta the teams have combined to land Over the total, so until I see some sign...any kind of sign that the Hawks are actually interested on the stop end of the floor, I will ride the Over train that they are on - 9 in a row and counting - to add another over to the equation.

                            Timberwolves-Hawks Over the total.

Tough complimentary loser with the Patriots on Sunday, as New England held Dallas without a touchdown but still came up two points short of covering the 6-point spread. For Monday’s freebie, we’ll head to the NBA and back LeBron James and the Lakers as a short favorite at San Antonio.

Both teams are playing for the third time in four nights, so there’s no real “rest” advantage for either squad. However, there is a talent advantage, and a big one—and it belongs to the Lakers, who are an NBA-best 14-2 and riding an seven-game winning streak. Conversely, San Antonio just snapped an eight-game losing skid on Saturday, and it took a game against the pathetic Knicks to do it.

While the Spurs did get the money in New York, they’re still just 4-13 ATS, the worst bet-on team in the NBA. That includes a 1-7 ATS record at home and 1-5 ATS mark as an underdog. One of those non-covers at home and as an underdog came against the Lakers back on Nov. 3, which LA won 103-96 as a 1½-point chalk. In that contest, James posted a triple-double (21 points, 11 rebounds, 14 assists), while Davis went for 21 points and 13 boards as five Lakers scored in double digits.

But as much as anything, it was LA’s defense that stole the show, limiting the Spurs to 39.8% shooting, including 6-for-25 from 3-point range. Here’s the telltale sign that the final score wasn’t indicative of the Lakers’ dominance: They won by seven points even though San Antonio shot 10 more free throws (29-19) and made 11 more foul shots (24-13).

Finally, prior to the Spurs’ 111-104 victory over the Knicks, they had been giving up an astonishing 122.4 points per game during their eight-game slide. No way can you put forth that kind of defensive “effort” and keep it close against this red-hot Lakers squad that’s averaging a tick under 112 points per game.

                              4* LA LAKERS

Time to make some cold, hard cash and I will do so with the total on this Baltimore-Los Angeles meeting to close Week Twelve of the NFL season.

The NFC Super Bowl rep from a season ago, the Los Angeles Rams enter play this Monday night at just 6-4 on the season as they are staring up at the 9-2 Seattle Seahawks and the 10-1 San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West standings with little room for error.

Into town comes the toast of the league, Lamar Jackson and the 8-2 Baltimore Ravens. On paper this looks like a mismatch as Baltimore is coming off a 41-7 trouncing of the Houston Texans last weekend, and were also 49-13 winners the week before against Cincinnati.

With every sucker and their brother going to be jumping on the Ravens - and why not? - I will look for the Rams to circle the wagons, hunker down and come up with the effort needed to keep their postseason hopes alive.

The Rams have only scored 29 total points in their 2 games since coming back from a 24-10 win in London over the Cincinnati Bengals, as Jared Goff has given Rams fans pause after signing that big off-season contract. Goff is expected to get back a pair of big weapons in wide receivers Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks for tonight's prime time meeting, and Todd Gurley did look to have some life in his much talked about legs in last Sunday night's 17-7 home win and cover over the Chicago Bears.

I know it is hard to find fault in anything Lamar Jackson and his Ravens have done this season, but in the NFL sometimes things don't go the way they are supposed to go. Baltimore is in total control of the AFC North, they have won 6 in a row with 4 straight covers, but this is a long trip for them to be making and they are facing a prideful team that is playing for their playoff lives.

First time since 2017 that the Rams have been installed as the home underdog, and I say they make the points work in that home dog role tonight.

Take the Rams to cool off the Ravens on Monday night.
