The Red Wings score the fewest goals in the league on the road averaging 2.08 per game. Neither of these teams excel in penalty killing but the Red Wings have only scored six power play goals on the road all season. Devan Dubnyk is back between the pipes and the Wild only allow 2.83 goals per game at home. The Wild are ranked 15th in goals per game at home with 3.30 per game. I would be slightly worried about a blowout considering Jimmy Howard is 2-18-2 with a 4.11 GAA and .883 save percentage on the season, but the risk is worth it.

The NCAAB comp play is on Davidson. Game 794 at 7:00 eastern. Davidson has Conference tournament knockout revenge here in this game and they are 14-0 at home off a road game while St. Louis is 0-7 on the road off a home loss. The Wildcats have all 5 starters back from last season and were projected to roll this conference this season but have under achieved all year while the Billikens who were not expected to do much have run out to a 15-2 record. If Davidson cant roll these guys tonight then they may have their coach packing up. we think they come out and get the SCAROLA Tonight. 1-Unit Play. Take #781 Georgetown (+4) over Xavier (6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
I'm just going to keep betting against Xavier. Especially when they are favored like this. The Hoyas can match Xavier on the interior, and Mac McClung is better than any guard on the Xavier roster. Xavier has played some good teams tough. But they don't have a signature win yet this year and I still think this team is overrated.
4-Unit Play. Take #784 Louisville (-13.5) over Georgia Tech (7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
Jose Alvarado is dealing with back spasms. Michael Devoe is likely to miss this game with a foot injury. If those two don't play then Tech will lose this game by 30. I think Alvarado will play, but he's obviously not 100 percent. Louisville gained a lot of confidence with that win over Duke over the weekend and I think they will keep the momentum going with a blowout here.
1-Unit Play. Take #786 Notre Dame (-4) over Syracuse (7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
I don't really trust either of these teams laying out points. But Syracuse stinks. They have somehow won three straight games. But that's due to end right here against an Irish team that already beat them in The Dome. The Orange aren't consistent at all and I think that they will fall flat again here.
1-Unit Play. Take #788 Michigan (-5) over Penn State (7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
Penn State was able to snap its three-game funk with a big win over Ohio State on Saturday. However, now they have to go back on the road and they just aren't the same team outside of University Park. Michigan has lost back-to-back games and they are desperate. They have been outstanding at home and awful on the road so if both teams play to form then it should be a win for the home team.
2-Unit Play. Take #794 Davidson (-3) over St. Louis (7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
This one is a letdown spot for St. Louis. Davidson isn't as bad as it has played this year and they should get a boost from playing at home. They really haven't played much on their home court over the last two months. They are coming off a win and they have a soft spot in their schedule coming up. Let's buy low with this group.
2-Unit Play. Take #803 Samford (+17) over Furman (7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
I just don't think that Furman is as good as its record looks and I don't think that Samford is as bad as it has played. At some point things are going to click for Scott Padgett's group. They have lost four ina row and it has not been pretty. But I think that they will dig deep and make this number hold up.
1-Unit Play. Take #807 Drake (-5.5) over Evansville (7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
Evansville is 4-12 ATS since that absurd upset over Kentucky. They just fired their coach and this team is pretty much off the rails right now. They have lost six straight games and they have gotten slapped around at home, even. Drake is a promising young team and I think that they have a little more going for them here than the Aces.
3-Unit Play. Take #820 Temple (+2.5) over Cincinnati (7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
I don't know why Cincinnati is favored in this game. The players don't like the new coaching staff. Their 'leader' Jarron Cumberland is a thug with a bad attitude that is miserable that he decided to come back to school rather than go to the NBA. And the Bearcats haven't done anything but look like an NIT team all season. Temple is better than its record. They haven't played like it and have been struggling offensively. But they are tough and experienced and they are undervalued here. The Owls were good enough to beat Wichita State at home (and should've won that Houston game) and I think they will pull another upset here.
1-Unit Play. Take #823 North Dakota State (Pk) over South Dakota State (8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
The numbers suggested this spread would be 5.0. Then it opened at 2.5. Now it is a pick. I don't have to be a genius to read which way the books do not want you to bet in this one. SDSU has been better than I thought this year. But North Dakota State is the more experienced team. I'm just playing the line on this one.
2-Unit Play. Take #825 Indiana State (+7.5) over Loyola-Chicago (8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
I think that this is too many points. I know Loyola has been hot, but this Indiana State team just seems to play everyone tight. And if they are hitting from deep they can throw a scare into the Ramblers in this one. I also think that Loyola is looking ahead to its big game with Northern Iowa this weekend and that will keep them from a blowout here.
2-Unit Play. Take #834 Seton Hall (-8.5) over Providence (8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
Providence remains a train wreck. I'm not completely giving up on this team. But I have staked my claim early that Seton Hall is the best team in this conference. All they do is keep winning - now on an eight-game streak - and they have won despite playing four of their last six games away from home. They bombed Georgetown and Marquette in their last two home games and I think that they will do the same thing here.
7-Unit Play. Take #836 DePaul (-1) over Creighton (9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
1-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 146.0 Creighton at DePaul (9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
This DePaul team is much, much better than its record suggests. These guys are just 1-4 in league play, but they had a realistic chance to win all four of those games they lost, including a one-point home loss to Providence, an OT loss at Villanova and an eight-point loss at Seton Hall. DePaul has wins this year over Iowa, Texas Tech and Minnesota - three potential tournament teams - and they just bombed Butler on Saturday to finally break through. I think they are going to keep it going here. Creighton is simply not the same team on the road that they are at home. They don't shoot with the same confidence and they don't play defense nearly as well.
1-Unit Play. Take #838 Pittsburgh (-11) over Boston College (9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22)
Boston College is basically fielding a D-II team right now. I don't love Pittsburgh because they turn the ball over too much and play like flakes. However, they are trending upward and are capable of some big efforts. They don't get to blow a lot of people out. The Eagles just got wrecked by Georgia Tech, Syracuse and Wake Forest, three of the weakest teams in the ACC, in three straight games. There's just no telling how healthy this B.C. team is or how much effort they are going to have for this one.
