Rotation #811
Manhattan -5 over Marist
Marist has turned over their entire offense from last year as just one player returns. This team is breaking in freshman and Junior College players. The Red Foxes just released to new players a few days ago and will take on a Manhattan team with a lot of playing experience as a unit. This Jaspers team is better from top to bottom. If they can keep Marist from a high three point output they should win this game with relative ease. Take Manhattan.

Rotation #829
UNC +6.5 over Virginia Tech
This is the least talented Roy Williams team we have seen, but this VTech team is highly overrated right now. This is still a young basketball team and a very small basketball team. UNC has the athletes to stop the Hokies from getting easy buckets. This is a well coached Hokies team, but they are not that experienced and should not be a huge favorite like this with Mike Young just be handed the keys to the program this year. This is a team that relies on the three point shot. UNC has the athletic bodies to get points in the paint. Take North Carolina.

Rotation #839
Rutgers +5.5 over Iowa
Rutgers cracked into the top 25 and are playing great basketball. This is a team that stepped up when Geo Baker went down and now that he is back are clicking together really well. Iowa is a great shooting team, but they do have a vulnerable defense. Rutgers has a great defense and physical players that can match the length Iowa has. This same Rutgers team got a big win on the road last year on Iowa’s senior night. This is an athletic team that won’t be pushed around by any team in the conference. This is a big game for this Scarlet Knight program to keep themselves moving up and not out of the top 25. Take Rutgers.
MISS. STATE -4
ARKANSAS @ MISS. STATE | 1/22 | 7:00 PM EST
3:02 PM
Arkansas’ specialty, 3-point defense, will play a reduced role given that Mississippi State relies mostly on shots closer to the basket. On the other hand, the Bulldogs’ strength looms large. They pace the SEC in rebound margin, while the Razorbacks bring up the rear. Bulldogs G Nick Weatherspoon (13.3 points, 3.6 assists) has emerged since his suspension ended seven games ago. The Bulldogs have taken advantage of their status as the favorite recently, going 8-3 ATS.

SOUTH CAROLINA +11
SOUTH CAROLINA @ AUBURN | 1/22 | 7:00 PM EST
2:57 PM
Formerly unbeaten Auburn floated back down to earth with two spankings on the road last week. The Tigers are the better team here, but South Carolina’s sticky defense that holds opponents to 38.4 percent shooting - second-lowest in the SEC - can deliver a cover. The Gamecocks are coming off two home wins, including one over Kentucky, and lost by just one point in its previous game. Auburn is 4-5 ATS at home, with a few close calls.

LOUISVILLE -13.5
GEORGIA TECH @ LOUISVILLE | 1/22 | 7:00 PM EST
2:52 PM
Few players are more valuable to their team than Michael Devoe of Georgia Tech. A lower-body injury has jeopardized his chance to play. Not only does Devoe average 15.9 points, but he toils for 35 1/2 minutes and is the only Yellow Jacket who consistently shoots well from 3-point range. Georgia Tech, which commits a ridiculous 16.8 turnovers per game, could fold against Louisville’s intense defense. The Cardinals will receive a royal welcome home after posting three straight road wins.

CINCINNATI -2.5
CINCINNATI @ TEMPLE | 1/22 | 7:00 PM EST
2:46 PM
It’s a dice-roll to back a team that is 1-4 on the road. But Temple hardly is scary at home, with a 5-3 record. The Owls might take the floor without injured G Quinton Rose - and his remarkable stats line of 14.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.9 steals per game - and backup F De’Vondre Perry (toe). Turnovers have piled up as the Owls have dropped four of the last five SU.
