Im betting the Philadelphia 76ers will take their league-best 28th victory in 30 home games when they host the New York Knicks on Thursday. The Sixers a team that travels badly is off a embarrassing loss vs Cleveland last time out and will be ready to rebound here at home despite of being without key cogs Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. I personally believe the Sixers are over rated, but this is a good spot for them here vs a NYK team that has lost 5 straight .

Bettors will likely be quick to back the surging Rangers here but I believe the Canadiens are favored for a reason. Montreal has owned this series in both the short-term and long-term, taking three of four meetings over the last three seasons and going 27-15-5 against the Blueshirts since 1996. The Rangers are a miserable 17-40 when revenging a one goal loss against an opponent over the last three seasons and 1-11 the last 12 times they've come off a one-goal win over a division rival (they beat the Islanders 4-3 two nights ago). The Habs haven't been good on home ice this season but I think they'll be up for playing the spoiler role against the playoff-hungry Rangers on Thursday night. Take Montreal (8*).Comment

I see value with Northwestern as a big home dog against Illinois. No question in my mind the books have inflated the number, knowing the betting public will want nothing to do with a Wildcats team that has lost 11 straight and are just 1-15 in Big Ten play.
These two teams met back on Jan. 18th and Illinois only won that matchup 75-71 as a 12.5-point home favorite. I just think with how much the Fighting Illini struggle to score, it will be hard for them to cover this big number. Illinois ranks dead last in the Big Ten in effective field goal percentage at 44.4%.
Northwestern is going to show up for this game on their home floor against an in-state rival. I not only think they cover, but I give them an outside shot at winning this game. Fighting Illini are just 3-7-1 ATS last 11 games vs a team that's won fewer than 40% of their games. They are also 1-4 ATS last 5 games as a favorite.
