My free winner is on the Sacramento Kings, laying the points at home to the lowly Detroit Pistons.

The Kings are back home at Golden 1 after collecting a valuable road victory as they continue a drive toward a playoff berth. Now they open a three-game homestand with a perfect opponent.

I was surprised Friday, watching the Kings topple Memphis, the team they're chasing for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, 104-101.

It was Sacramento's fourth victory in its last five games, and it was led by point guard De'Aaron Fox, who was a question mark to play due to an abdominal injury. The kid ended up in the lineup and scored a team-high 25 points.

The Pistons arrive with a 9-21 mark on the road and 2-7 ATS mark in this series. Their defense has been atrocious all season, and allows an average of 110.9 points per game. Over their last five, they've given up 115 points per contest.

This will be the Pistons' fourth road game in eight days, after touring through Portland, Denver and Phoenix. They'll be exhausted in this one, and Sacramento will take advantage as it continues its quest to the postseason.

      Lay the chalk.

My free play for Sunday is on the New York Rangers in a revenge game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The teams meet for a second time in three days after Philadelphia earned a 5-2 win on home ice Friday, when it dominated most of the game.

The win ended the Rangers' nine-game road winning streak, and brought an end to a league-best 11-win month. On the other end, the Flyers claimed a fifth straight win and their 15th win in 21 games (15-5-1).

Both teams are surprising many with these win streaks, and I can't say either has been better than the other, with both surging at the right time of the season.

I will say the Flyers victimized the Rangers, who did not have King Henrik in net. That's a big difference, and I would think he'll be between the pipes tonight for the revenge game. In his last 31 appearances against the Flyers (dating back to Mar. 6, 2011), Lundqvist has posted a 21-8-2 record, along with a 2.24 goals-against average, a .928 save percentage, and 2 shutouts.

New York has won 13 of its last 18 home games against the Flyers, dating back to Mar. 6, 2011 (13-4-1). The Rangers have also posted an 18-6-0 record in their games that immediately follow a loss, dating back to Oct. 22 vs. Arizona.

And when playing at Madison Square Garden in the game following a loss over the span, the Blueshirts have posted a 12-3-0 record. The Rangers have earned a win in the game immediately following their last four losses and have posted a 6-1-0 record in the game immediately following their last seven losses.

Great spot to play the Rangers.
