Tuesday's comp play is the Braves and Rays to head Over the total once again.
It didn't take long for the crooked-digits to start appearing on the Tropicana Field scoreboard last night, as the teams combined for 19 total runs in a game that had Over players sipping their margaritas early and often.
More of the same tonight at the Trop as both Atlanta and Tampa Bay had played Over the total in their last pair of games, while the Rays have played Over in 3 of their 4 games so far this season.
Dating back to last season, Atlanta has seen 4 straight interleague road games play Over the total and with Kyle Wright going in place of the injured Cole Hamels, we should see a 5th straight IL game land Over the total for the Bravos.
Wright is highly-touted, but after an 0-3 season last year with an 8.69 ERA my guess is he serves up a few runs.
Tonight Cincy gets revenge as the Reds stop their current 3 game slide.
The Cubs bullpen was overworked last night and tonight they get exposed!
Tyler Mahle will get the start in place of the injured Anthony DeSclafani and Mahle has had modest success versus division-rival Chicago, as he is 2-1 with a 3.64 ERA in 5 starts against the Cubs.
Alec Mills will counter for the Cubs and is in the last spot in the rotation thanks to Jose Quintana's thumb surgery earlier this month.
I would not expect Mills to be working deep into this game and with the bullpen showing signs that manager David Ross may have some work on his hands, let's take the Reds who can ill-afford a 1-4 start to get back into the win column here on Tuesday.
Let's head to Houston for my free winner, as I'm playing the Los Angeles Dodgers against the sign-stealing Astros. I'll go ahead and tell you to list the scheduled starters: Walker Buehler and Framber Valdez, but there's more to this game than those two.
This is the first time the Dodgers face Houston since it was found guilty of stealing signs, during World Series runs, including 2017, when Los Angeles lost in the Fall Classic to Astros. Nothing can bring that season back, but that doesn't mean the animosity won't be flowing. It will always mean something.
The Dodgers are 2-2 right now, and they probably feel as if they should have at least one more win in the left column after opening the season against their arch rivals, the San Francisco Giants.
Buehler makes his season debut, and insists he plenty ready to go health-wise, and if he is at the top of his game he will dominate. In six career Interleague starts, he is 3-0 with a stingy 1.83 ERA, having worked 34.1 innings and limiting teams to just 7 earned runs and 5 home runs.
Valdez, meanwhile, was a dismal 4-7 with a 5.86 ERA in 26 games for the Astros last year, including eight starts. Quite a difference after making his Major League debut in 2018 and going 4-1 with a 2.19 ERA in eight games, five of them starts. This will be a tough task for Valdez.

MLB | Blue Jays vs Nationals
Play on: Blue Jays +133 at 5Dimes
Dave’s Tuesday Free Play:
1* on Toronto Blue Jays +133 The Key: The Toronto Blue Jays are one of the most underrated teams in MLB this season with how potent their young lineup is. The Washington Nationals are overrated after winning the World Series last year. That has shown with their 1-3 start in which they have been held to 2 runs or fewer in all 3 of their losses. A big reason for their offensive struggles is they lost Anthony Rendon in the offseason, and now Juan Soto has missed the first 4 games with Covid. Tanner Roark spent 6 seasons in Washington and will want revenge on his former team tonight. Roark has consistently been underrated as a starter in his time in the big leagues. Take Toronto.
