The Minnesota Twins are 7-2 on the season while the Pittsburgh Pirates have a reversed record of 2-7.
The Twins will be forced to go with a bullpen-by-committee approach for this contest after expected starter Homer Bailey going on the injured list, but their bullpen has the fourth best ERA in baseball and I like the Twins to get it done here.

Great value here with the UNDER 8 in Monday's NL West showdown between the Dodgers and Padres. I know LA has a loaded offense, but the number here is too high given the talent both teams will be sending to the mound.
The Padres will give the rock to Chris Paddack, who might be the best kept secret in baseball. At least in terms of starters. In his first two starts of 2020, Paddack has allowed 2 runs on 10 hits with just 1 walk in 10 innings of work. That's a 1.64 ERA and 1.000 WHIP for those wondering. He had a 3.33 ERA and an incredible 0.98 ERA (153 K's in 140.2 innings) over 26 starts in 2019. His first year at the big league level.
Potential here that he could be facing a LA lineup that will be without both Mookie Betts (questionable) and Corey Seager (questionable).
Dodgers will turn to Walker Buehler, who has put up remarkable numbers in his short career. Entering just his 3rd full season at the big league level, Buehler has a 3.14 ERA and 1.04 WHIP over 63 games (54 starts). He too can make guys miss. He's got 381 Ks in 332.2 innings (had 215 K's last year). Give me the UNDER 8!Comment

Dodgers vs. Padres OVER 7.5
The LA Dodgers (7-3) are a (-140 favorite) when they take on the San Diego Padres (6-4) (+120 underdog) on Monday evening at 9:10 ET from Petco Park in San Diego. The O/U has been set at 7.5.
Walker Buehler (R) with a 4.91 ERA and 1.09 WHIP will start for LA, and Chris Paddack (R) with a 1.64 ERA and 1.00 WHIP will be on the bump for San Diego. I think the line is assuming that Buehler is going to be ace worthy starting right now. I for one am not buying into that just yet.
The Dodgers have won five of six coming into Monday, and they won their Saturday game 11-2 over the DBacks, and on Sunday won 3-0. Kershaw threw 5 2/3 sharp innings in his season debut, Bellinger hit his first home run of the season and the Dodgers looked good.
The Padres lost their two most recent games 6-1 Saturday to the Rockies and then 9-6 on Sunday, but there is a silver lining here for over bettors. The Padres have scored at least three runs in nine of their 10 games. They can try to match the Dodgers output here, and for my money the Padres could have been been 7-3, or even 8-2. They are playing well despite their record.
Both these teams can hit, and that's why I like the OVER on Monday. Nice warm weather, a jacked up Padres team welcoming in their cross-state rivals, who knows we could see an upset here as well, but for this free play the OVER is the way to go. YES, I know the Padres went 6-13 against Los Angeles in 2019, but that was last year right?
Some betting trends to consider. The OVER has cashed in three of the Padres last four games. The Padres are 5-1 in Paddacks last 6 home starts, which boosts my confidence in the OVER here.
I'm forecasting 10 runs in this one. Play the over.
