My selection here is MONONGAHELA. Is difficult not to consider based on speed figures which have been decent - 106 avg - of late. Has been running solidly in races of this distance, going 7 out of 30 under similar conditions. The speed figure of 97 from his last affair looks decent in here. HONOR THE FLEET - Overall the speed figures of this horse look decent in this race. With a very strong 102 Equibase Speed Figure last time out, will clearly be a factor in this contest. DR BLARNEY - Has very strong front-end speed and will most likely fare very well versus this group of horses. Could beat this group given the 96 Equibase Speed Figure recorded in his last outing.

MEEKA - I think that a sprinter coming off a layoff will usually run her best in the 3rd or 4th start back. This rider and trainer's animals have been generating a beneficial ROI. This horse earns a lot of dough per race around the track. Tops in this clash. POINT STREAK - I like that last race on July 30th at Arlington where she finished third. I think this mare is ready to run a good one. She's had enough efforts since the vacation and should be fit. When a pony drops at least five pounds (like this one is), you must take notice. It may not seem like much, but this could make a difference. GHAALEB THE GREAT - This filly runs very well off of a layoff. Dropping down in class rating points from her Nov 29th race at Hawthorne. Based on that data point, I will give this thoroughbred the edge. LOOKTHEOTHERWAY - Roman and Hernandez perform well when they join forces. It's hard to beat a +168 return on investment for a rider and conditioner. Mare shipped to this track and won; now goes for back-to-back wins. This mare is in good form, having run a good race on August 1st, finishing first.
