Playing the 'under' in a Shane Bieber start is certainly not much of a stretch as he's been lights out so far this season, and going back to last year as well. Bieber's strikeouts per nine innings are way up while his walks, home runs and hits allowed are all down compared to last season, which is really saying something when you consider he was an All-Star and finished fourth in A.L. Cy Young voting. Trevor Williams will counter for Pittsburgh. Like Bieber, he has also improved on his numbers from a year ago. Williams has posted a respectable 3.98 ERA and 1.23 WHIP through four starts. He'll be facing an Indians club that entered last night's action ranked tied for 27th in runs per game and 30th in team batting average. Take the under (8*).

The Milwaukee Brewers have gotten their offense going in scoring at least 6 runs in three of their last four games coming in, including their 9-3 victory over the Twins yesterday. Look for them to stay hot at the plate against the struggling Jose Berrios tonight.
Berrios has been a huge disappointment for the Twins. He is 1-3 with a 5.92 ERA and 1.644 WHIP in five starts this season. And it’s not like he has faced the best lineups as he has been up against the Royals (twice), Pirates, Indians and White Sox.
Brandon Woodruff had a great season last year in Milwaukee and has carried that over into 2020. He is 1-1 with a 3.16 ERA and 1.052 WHIP in five starts with 30 K’s in 25 2/3 innings. That includes 1-1 with a 2.87 ERA and 0.830 WHIP in three road starts.
Woodruff is 21-7 (+12.8 Units) against the money line in all games over the last two seasons. Woodruff is an even better 16-2 (+13.9 Units) when the total is 8.5 to 10 over the last two years. Bet the Brewers Thursday.

The Dodgers and Mariners play tonight in Seattle, wrapping up a four-game, home and home series. The Dodgers won Monday and Tuesday in LA but the Mariners won 6-4 last night in Seattle. However, while LA is 18-8 on the season with the NL's best record (lead the NL West by four games), Seattle is the reverse of that (8-18) and sits in last-place in the AL West (9 1/2 games back of the first-place A's). Tonight's pitching matchup is a "mismatch," with Clayton Kershaw (2-1, 2.65 ERA) squaring off against Yusei Kikuchi (0-1, 5.28 ERA). It's said that Kershaw has lost some speed off his fastball but he's looked just fine in his three starts (0.82 WHIP / 18-3 KW ratio / .180 BAA) and is 3-0 with a 2.70 ERA in three career starts vs Seattle. As for Kikuchi, he was 6-11 with a 5.46 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and .295 BAA as a rookie in 2019. He gets set for his fourth start of 2020 with a 5.28 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and .250 BAA. Is he making progress?
