DRYDENE 311 CHASE ELLIOTT (NASCAR)
Chase Elliott Top 5
+100
No driver should have more confidence heading into this weekend’s doubleheader at Dover, than that of the #9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. Chase Elliott showed up big last Sunday, en route to his eighth career win in NASCAR first race at the Daytona Road Course. With two tough twin races this weekend at Dover, Elliott is off to a good start by drawing the pole position. Chase has shown throughout his cup career how strong he can run at this track. In fact, his first four starts all resulted in top-five finishes, including two third-place finishes, and a runner-up in 2017. Chase finally broke through in the Dover playoff race in 2018, as he held off a hard-charging Denny Hamlin to win at the Monster Mile. 2019 was the tail of two races at Dover for Chase, as he finished 5th in the spring race, before getting knocked out early by engine trouble in the most recent visit to the Monster Mile. Elliott looks to have hit that gear he has shown the last two seasons at this time of the year. Saturday could be a very good day for him. Even if a win isn’t in the cards, a top-five finish is a must bet.
