NBA | Heat vs Bucks
Play on: Heat +5½ -107 at pinnacle
1* Free Sharp Play on Heat +5½ -107
The Heat (+5.5) are definitely worth a shot in Game 1 of their series with the Bucks. Miami is the team that everyone has been saying has the best chance of knocking off Milwaukee. They won both regular-season meetings. They got the guys to make it difficult on the Antetokounmpo. They also got the shooters to exploit one of the Bucks biggest flaws in defending the 3-point line. Play the Heat +5.5!

MLB | STL vs CIN
Play on: UNDER 9½ -104
Jack’s Free Pick Monday: Cardinals/Reds UNDER 9.5 (-104)
Two of the worst hitting teams in the National League square off Monday when the Cardinals visit the Reds. The Cardinals are hitting .237 and scoring 4.0 runs per game this season, while the Reds are hitting .216 and scoring 4.0 runs per game as well.
Dakota Hudson is 0-2 with a 3.32 ERA and 1.053 WHIP in four starts for the Cardinals this season. Hudson is also 3-0 with a 3.37 ERA and 1.159 WHIP in five career starts against Cincinnati.
Anthony Desclafini had one poor start against the Pirates which has inflated his numbers, and also inflated this total. It was an aberration. Desclafini is 7-3 with a 3.18 ERA in 15 career starts against St. Louis. The UNDER is 11-4 in those 15 starts.
Desclafini is 17-5 UNDER when the total is 8.5 to 10 over the last two seasons. The UNDER is 41-19-4 in Cardinals last 64 games with a total of 9 to 10.5. The UNDER is 5-1 in Reds last six home games. Bet the UNDER in this game Monday.

The NHL Comp play is on The Boston Bruins at 7:00 eastern. After winning game 1 The Bruins have dropped 3 straight to Tampa and will now have to stave off elimination. The good news is they are 9-2 with 1 day of rest and 6-2 as a dog. In this round and in this sequence teams up 3-1 like Tampa have historically won just 40% of the time. So while they are up 3-1 the money line here is rather competitive. Wit the Dog in the series 5-1 we will back the Bruins tonight. For the NHL Comp play. Go with Boston in game 5. RV- GC Sports

MLB | Indians vs Royals
Play on: Indians -1½ -129 at pinnacle
Dave’s Monday Free Play:
1* on Cleveland Indians -1.5 (-129) The Key: The Cleveland Indians have gone 11-4 in their last 15 games overall and are playing some great baseball in August. The Kansas City Royals are just 2-6 in their last eight games to fall to 13-21 on the season. The Indians have a huge edge on the rubber with Cy Young contender Shane Bieber. He is 6-0 with a 1.35 ERA and 0.81 WHIP in 7 starts this year with 75 strikeouts in 46 2/3 innings. The Indians are 7-0 in Bieber’s 7 starts this year with 6 of those wins by 2 runs or more. Take Cleveland on the Run Line.

MLB | CLE vs KC
Play on: UNDER 7½ -107
Monday MLB Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between Cleveland and Kansas City at 8:05 pm et on Monday.
We have another opportunity to back the 'under' with Indians ace Shane Bieber on the hill at a reasonable price on Monday. Bieber has posted a 1.35 ERA and 0.81 WHIP so far this season not to mention a staggering 14.5 strikeouts per nine innings. Royals starter Brad Keller has also pitched well, with his strikeouts per nine innings up over a year ago, along with the fact that he's yet to allow a home run this season. His hits allowed per nine innings have dropped from 8.4 a year ago to 5.8 here in 2020. These two teams entered Sunday's action tied for 23rd in runs per game, while the Indians check in tops in MLB in runs allowed per contest. Take the under (8*).

MLB | Padres vs Rockies
Play on: Rockies -108 at sportsbook
1 Unit FREE PLAY on Colorado Rockies -108
This is a big game for the Colorado Rockies as they trail the San Diego Padres by 3 games in the NL West. They have lost two of the first three games in this series to the Padres. They will square it today with ace German Marquez taking the ball. Marquez has a 4.50 ERA in his seven starts this season. Garrett Richards has a 5.17 ERA in his seven starts and an 8.38 ERA in his last three. Richards gave up 4 runs in 5 2/3 innings to the Rockies on July 31st in his only previous start against them. Marquez is 5-1 with a 4.02 ERA in his last eight starts against the Padres. He has allowed 3 earned runs or fewer in seven of those eight starts. Give me the Rockies.

NHL | Stars vs Avalanche
Play on: Avalanche -133 at betonline
My free play is on the Col Avalanche at 9:45 ET.
The Dallas Stars were not playing well right before the league paused in March, then went 1-2 in round robin play. The Stars were then 12 seconds away from trailing the Calgary Flames by a 3-1 margin in the first round but sent Game 4 into OT and won, tying the series at two-all. Dallas then won Games 5 and 6 to eliminate Calgary. It was on to meet Colorado next, which earned 92 points to Dallas' 82 in the shortened regular season. The Star took Games 1 & 2 by scores of 5-3 and 5-2, before the Avs bounced back with a 6-4 win in Game 3. However, Dallas took a commanding 3-1 lead in the series by winning Game 4 last night, 5-4 (the Stars took a 3-0 lead Sunday in the opening 10:45).
It's often said that the fourth victory in a playoff series is the hardest to get but the Stars will have THREE chances to get that win No. 4, beginning tonight, as the teams are right back on the ice Monday. Dallas, which scored the fewest regular-season goals (180) of any Western Conference team to make the playoffs, has 19 through the first four games of this series (4.75 per). Dallas is getting the job done despite No. 1 goalie Ben Bishop being on the shelf for much of the playoffs (no return date in sight). Anton Khudobon has been solid, if not spectacular, allowing 2.86 GPG and owns a save percentage of .911.
Speaking of goaltending, Colorado's No. 1 netminder (Philipp Grubauer) suffered an injury to his left leg early in the second period of Game 1 and is not expected to return to the ice this postseason. Pavel Francouz has NOT been effective and in fact, was pulled after Dallas scored its fifth goal with 11:58 remaining last night. Michael Hutchinson made his playoff debut and stopped all three shots he faced. I'd bet Hutchinson gets the call in this one. Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon leads all playoff scorers in points (21) and extended his points streak to 12 games on Sunday with an assist. MacKinnon's linemates, Rantanen and Landeskog plus centert Kadri have all produced this postseason and with their backs to the wall, I say the Avs extend this series at least one more game.
Good luck...Larry
Russell Westbrook returned for Houston on Saturday and the consensus was that his return would mean plenty of points on the scoreboard in the swing game of the series that was tied at 2-2.
That was not at all the case, as Houston did a decent job of scoring with 114 points, but Oklahoma City forgot that the round ball goes through the hoop as the Thunder produced just 80 points in a game that fell well short of the posted total.
I will stay with the Under again here on Monday night as the Rockets look to eliminate the Thunder and advance.
3 of the 5 games in this series so far have landed High, but Houston comes in having landed Low in 5 of their last 8 games in the month of August, while Oklahoma City has actually gone High in 6 of their last 9. What worries me is the fact OKC could only muster 80 points on Saturday. Another off night offensively for Billy D's club and this game will not come close to reaching the Over column.
Don't get me wrong, I think the Thunder will definitely net more than 80 points tonight with their season on the line, but this is still a pretty high total, so mark me down for the Under here in Game Six.
