STAR OF KODIAK - The rider and trainer combination here have a high win percentage when they combine forces. Average class figure is tops in this group. I think that is a big advantage for a turf race. That recent bullet 50.6 work shows that this gelding is ready for a top race today. Have to like the way Davis has raced this gelding back into shape off the layoff. Horse is well spotted in this sprint and I think he'll run well today. ROYAL COMMISH - Speed figs on the turf point to this animal as a legit contender. Has the best in the field for this distance/surface. This gelding's last race was back on November 22nd but I do believe he can run a good one coming off a vacation. There's something to be said for a change of surface. Last race this horse didn't like the terrain, but if you look two back on the turf at Keeneland, there was a great effort. I look for that again today. NEVER HAVE I EVER (IRE) - Emigh and Vanden Berg perform well when they join forces. Tough to beat a win pct of 30. This gelding is in good condition, having run a good race on August 27th, finishing first. I think the shorter trip will help this gelding stay the distance. Cruised home victorious as he wired the field just recently at Arlington. Quickly coming back to potentially do it again in today's race. Gelding is a few starts into a return here. Should give a top effort today. GOOD BYE GREG - Rivelli must have known this horse would run well at this track. Won his last race here on August 28th and now goes for back-to-back wins. Rivelli has a very strong win percent in grass sprints. This horse should be ready to win. This horse is a gem of consistency, almost always on the board. This horse is in good form, having run a good race on August 28th, finishing first. Everybody's got their favorite tracks, but if you ask this entrant, I think his answer would be Arlington.

AIR FORCE JET (GB) - Tough to bet on any thoroughbred in a short distance event at 4/1 when he hasn't shown any competitive efforts in sprints in the last couple months. WILD WES - Can't invest in this horse in today's sprint of 5 furlongs. Hasn't even hit the board in a sprint race recently.
