Finger Lakes - Race #1

#7 Mrs Robin E	Stalker was a troubled 2nd in his return off the break in a fast race for the level, catches a group loaded with speed, and won't be favored either; look out.
#6 Impetuous	Mth invader will be bet hard for J. Englehart, and he's the class, but there's plenty of speed here, so he could get fried chasing; tryig to beat at false odds.
#5 Overton	Slight class dropper was a well-beaten 3rd as the chalk last time, so this level makes sense, though you wonder if he's going the wrong way; mixed signals.
Race Summary	You won't get rich on the 7 but the 2-1 ML seems fair in a race where it's just the favorite to fear, and that one looks up against it in terms of race flow, so play the pick aggressively to win and place, while getting some adding value by keying him to kick off the early Pk4, as a win would knock a lot of tickets out right off the bat who are going with the class of the 6.

Finger Lakes - Race #4

#3 Bellamy'spartygirl	Conway firster goes for a barn that is just 1-for-6 with this angle, but at 20-for-67 at the meet you know he's firing, and the works here whisper ready; looks very live.
#6 Bustin Shuffle	Saratoga invader will like this group a lot better, though it's not like she did any running in three NYRA starts, so she still needs to step it up a bit here; second-best.
#4 Crazy Delight	ML favorite has bullets in the holster for Ferraro, but note he's 0-for-9 on debut, so this isn't a strong suit, which says she may need this; tabbing for down the road.
Race Summary	Tab the tote on the 3, as you'd like to see her live and taking money, and if that's the case you can play her aggressively to win and place, though her real value comes in ending the early Pk4, and kicking off the Pk5 as well, since you can use her number there too, as this looks like a wide open race, and it's not like she needs to be a superstar to have a big say with a group like this.

Finger Lakes - Race #6

#1 Becky's Mission	Saratoga invader enters having faced better in her last two, and while she didn't do a lot of running, the turf out last time is an easy toss, and the 3rd for a tag two-back makes her a player here, as a decent price too; expecting a big run.
#3 Tropical Storm Em	Capable miss stretched out last time and was a big 2nd, beaten just a nose, and this post will help her too, so while the 15-1-5-3 lifetime record isn't ideal, she won't have to improve much off her last to have a big say here; major player.
#8 Sure Stich	Lightly raced runner got no help from the wide draw or the fact she's off a Jan. layoff, but the MSW win last time-at Aqu no less-was heady stuff, and Baker is 21% off this extended break, so she's worth a long look; contention runs deep.
Race Summary	There's a lot to like about the 1, most notably the fact she drew well, gets away from the Spa, and isn't in for a tag, so give her a look in all the slots, and especially the late Pk4 as well, since she looks spotted to score, for a Chris Englehart barn that rarely takes a wrong step around these parts.

Mountaineer - Race #1

#4 Americain Joey	Broke through in a big way when trying the local company for the first time last out, and he'll now get back to the turf where he can well in a couple of starts at Belterra.
#9 Imperial Guard	Forward player stacks up well with these while moving into allowance company off a fading effort at Colonial. Not out of the question, but I wouldn't want a short price here.
#1 Armonico	Steps up for this one after a useful finishing effort, but he has found this level to be a bit deep at points in the past.
Race Summary	Americain Joey will have to avoid taking a step back off the big win last time out, but he can handle the turf and stacks up well with these. The 7/2 ML price would be fair.

Mountaineer - Race #2

#7 Bungalow Flash	The barn has been trying to get this guy on the lawn in recent starts, and he broke through with a nice finishing effort to score last time out. Thinking he might be live right back.
#1 Echo Alpha Six	Tactical type has been rained off the lawn in recent starts, too, but he owns a really good three-back try on the grass locally that would fit well here.
#6 Afleet Moment	His best stuff keeps him in the mix with these, but he tends to give away ground late if eyeballed, so I wouldn't be thrilled to take an underlaid price here.
Race Summary	Bungalow Flash scored from off the pace on the main track, and perhaps tonight is the night that his team will finally get his feet on the lawn. He's plenty interesting at something like the 6/1 ML price.

Mountaineer - Race #3

#1 Soul Machen	Brings solid recent form to this turf debut, and sire Machen gets decent turf runners. The rail draw is tricky, but he's a player here.
#6 Bret's at Caddies	Steps up in very good form while getting back to the turf where he owns a sharp 5-for-11 local record. The one to beat.
#3 Gran City	Steps up off the claim, and he owns a couple of back races that would make him a threat underneath with this group.
Race Summary	Soul Machen might be the right one to try to Bret's at Caddies, and the 5/1 ML offering would feel fair as he tests the new footing.

#1 Big Fudge	Was heavily bet in his last two and ran second in each; has lacked a big finish lately but is still plenty good enough to considered as a strong contender.
#6 A Little Irradic	Was up in time vs. non-winners of two last time and adopted a come-from-behind style in doing so; late energy can make him a big player.
Race Summary	Orient Magic was overmatched last out and settles back to his proper condition; likely to be close early and can fight them off late.

Indiana Grand - Race #3

#1 Ragtime Blues	Was second in the G3 Barrera at Santa Anita and makes his second start for Brisset after starting in the Baffert barn; has the speed to put them away early.
#3 Boyfriend Material	Won two straight here and was claimed by Genaro Garcia last out; loves the track and can be in a good position throughout.
#7 Hidden Ruler	Tried the turf last time and is back to the dirt, where he won two races back; has spent the year with solid sprint foes and fits here.
Race Summary	Ragtime Blues can get to the lead and will dictate how it develops; graded stakes-placed.

Indiana Grand - Race #6

#8 Cruel Summer	Was a solid second last out but didn't fire last time; rider Jermaine Bridmohan has been effective at Indiana Grand and can get this one to the wire.
#1 Ready to Roll	Gave way going long on the dirt in his last two and moves over to the turf; bred to like the grass and can be a forward factor.
#7 Naughty Alfred	Tried the turf and a distance of ground after winning two of three in recent claiming sprints; will take his best effort to get a piece of this.
Race Summary	Cruel Summer has performed well in tough races and rates the edge at this level.

Al Cimaglia: Yonkers Raceway Pick 5 Analysis

Yonkers Raceway has a 9-race card to kick-off the week. The 0.50 Pick 5 begins in Race 5. That sequence has a $15,000 guaranteed pool and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 5

1-Western Vacation (7/2)-Has been competing at this level and falling short. Draws inside again and may have met a field that can be beat if Brennan gets the top and steals a quarter.
2-Rollinwithambition (8-1)-Ships in from The Spa and has hit the board in 12 of last 13 races. Makes only the 2nd Yonkers starts and should stay in the hunt at a nice price.
3-Rolling With Same (7-1)-3-year-old has taken only 2 pictures in 17 starts but from this post Buter should be able to work a good trip. Using instead of the chalk #6 who steps-up and starts outside of main foes, and #7 who is 0 for the last 22.

Race 6

3-Stone In Love (7/2)-Drew the 7 hole in last when stepped up to this level. Did keep trotting to the wire and passed a few down the lane, although was off for 2 weeks. Bartlett steers tonight and will look for a big try.
6-Pilgrims Tide (5-1)-Has taken a picture versus better at Pocono so should like the company. Brennan steers and that shouldn't hurt plus the Tritton barn has been rolling along. Should be forwardly placed and offer a fair price.

Race 7

3-Maroma Beach (3-1)-Easily beat the NW5kL4 on 9/4. That victory was keyed off a 26.4 opening quarter and the 6-year-old never looked back. Steps-up but the same script and ending could happen tonight.
4-Dark Energy N (5-1)-Even effort in last on a good track when raced 3rd over but did pace the 2nd half in 56.2. This time the pace should be quicker, and Bartlett could find live cover and be in the mix near the wire.
5-Zach Maguire N (10-1)-Zach is trip dependent but will bank on the pace to be honest. Gets some needed post relief, Dube is between the pipes again and has been facing better. Looking for a solid try at a nice price.

Race 8

1-Mostinterestingman (7/5)-The morning line chalk should be a player and Brennan is back so will be looking for an alert start. Likes Yonkers, has won 22 of 113 starts, using but not as a single.
2-Secret Bro (3-1)-Drops to a soft spot and Zeron picks up the drive. Is winless in 2020 (0-13) and has notched only 4 wins in the last 42 tries. But this looks like wake-up time.

Race 9

3-Provocativeprince N (5-1)-Back down to the level of last win which was back on 6/23. Left from the 4 hole, got on the engine and was a winner at 1-2. Recent form has been dull, but this is a spot to shine.
4-He's Electric (5/2)-Captured 1st win of the year on 8/31 and now steps up. This won't be as easy but has the gate speed to get a good seat and can beat this crew with a top try.
