The Cyclones are not up to the standards of Texas, but they have proven themselves to be a competent underdog. The only game in which they were not competitive was against the run and gun Iowa Hawkeyes. Coming off a contest with Baylor, we think the Cyclones can put up enough defensive might to keep this game under the number.
Texas is coming off its best game of the season, crushing Kansas by 25 points. That brought a lot of national eyes to this program and in turn raises expectations. But the betting markets agree that now is the time to fade them, with West Virginia and Texas Tech on deck.

UNC is #331 in taking 3 pointers. This is the third lowest field goal shooting team in the UNC Roy Williams coached era. Their lineup of Caleb Love and RJ Davis and Leaky Black are shooting less than 25% from 3's.
Most of the offensive woes for UNC is due to the fact they have lots of freshmen and trying to settle on a lineup.
Miami is probably without guard Chris Lykes. Coach Jim Larranaga likes to stress defense and has a solid rebounding team.
Unless we see plenty of late 3's and free throws I think this ends in the 134 to 139 range.

This is a home-and-home situation where the Timberwolves are now 11.5-point underdogs, a 3-point adjustment. I think the Timberwolves will be the hungrier team in the rematch and will cover this inflated number. It's not like the Nuggets have been playing that well all season. Their only two wins came against the Timberwolves and a short-handed Rockets team. They are 2-4 SU in all games this season, which is the same record as Minnesota. The Nuggets are 1-6-1 ATS int heir last eight games following a win by more than 10 points. Minnesota is 20-6 ATS in its last 26 trips to Denver. Give me the Timberwolves.

The set-up: Chicago is dealing with several injury and COVID issues, including to: SG Tomas Satoransky, PF Lauri Markkanen, SF Chandler Hutchinson, and PG Ryan Arcidiacono. Portland's been a disappointment in the early going as well after a great end to the Bubble format last year, but I think its asking a lot of these undermanned Bulls to keep pace in this difficult non-conference road venue. Chicago averages 114.2 PPG and it allows 121.9.
The pick: Portland averages 115.3 PPG, and it concedes 119.3. The Blazers recent form of late though will have them anxious to turn things around and here's the perfect opponent to get untracked against. Chicago was already struggling in every facet of the game, but with so many key players out due to COVID, it's hard to imagine where any sort of production will come from the visiting side tonight. Consider the home side in this one.
