MEMPHIS @ INDIANA | 02/02 | 8:00 PM EST
MEMPHIS +5.5
After being sidelined due to COVID-19, the Grizzlies haven’t skipped a beat since retaking the floor, winning both of the games they played in San Antonio. Each victory came by at least 17 points, improving their road record to 6-1 on the season. Meanwhile, the Pacers are just 4-7 ATS at home, including 3-6 ATS as home favorites. Memphis should at least be able to keep this close, and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if it won outright.

MARYLAND -2.5
ANALYSIS: The Terps went small in the second half of their game at Purdue and nearly pulled off the upset. They'll use the same strategy from the outset tonight. I think they get their first home conference win against a Boilermakers team that played Saturday and then had issues with their flight to Maryland. The Terps have been resting and preparing since last Wednesday. This is just one of those spots in the Big Ten schedule that heavily favors the hosts.

E. KENTUCKY @ JAX. STATE | 02/02 | 7:00 PM EST
E. KENTUCKY +2
ANALYSIS: Eastern Kentucky has won eight straight, including a three-point overtime win over Jacksonville State. Even though this matchup is on the road, I like the Colonels to improve on their 6-of-32 shooting from deep in that game. Look for the Gamecocks to fall to 0-5 ATS in their last five home games.

ANALYSIS: Eastern illinois has failed to cover eight straight. The last four have come by nearly 20 points per game. Lay the small number with the Cougars.

BOSTON @ GOLDEN ST. | 02/02 | 10:00 PM EST
BOSTON -3
ANALYSIS: The Warriors have won three of four, but those victories came against the Timberwolves (twice) and the Pistons. Except for their Jan. 18 win over the Lakers, the Warriors have typically faltered against the better teams. I believe Boston fits that bill, even without Marcus Smart. Look for the Celtics to improve to 7-1 ATS in their last eight visits to Golden State.

IOWA -10.5
ANALYSIS: Michigan State has covered once in its past 11 games, and now the Spartans have to deal with an angry Hawkeyes team coming off a tough loss at Illinois. MSU has been blown out twice since coming back from a COVID-related hiatus. Look for Iowa to improve to 16-1 ATS in its last 17 games following an ATS loss.

DETROIT @ DENVER | 02/01 | 9:00 PM EST
OVER 218
The Nuggets just played their best game of the season on Sunday as they halted Utah's 11-game winning and cover streak. They may have a letdown against the Pistons tonight, but I did eagerly bet the Over again. Denver is the best Over team in the NBA at 15-5 and is facing one of the worst defenses, as Detroit is allowing 112 points per game, 48 percent shooting overall and 39 percent from 3-point range.

VANCOUVER @ MONTREAL | 02/02 | 7:00 PM EST
UNDER 6.5
ANALYSIS: This is purely a hunch. These teams have played four times already this season and each game has had at least seven goals scored. However, I think this one will be lower scoring because it is the second of a back-to-back and due to both starting netminders. While the Canucks' Thatcher Demko allowed seven goals to the Habs on Jan. 21, he has given up just three combined over three games since and was picked as the NHL's No. 1 star for last week. I'm presuming it will be Jake Allen for the Habs after Carey Price started Monday's 6-2 win, and Allen has a spectacular 1.68 GAA in his three outings this year (including one vs. Vancouver). The under is 4-1-2 in Montreal's past seven at home.

L.A. CLIPPERS @ BROOKLYN | 02/02 | 7:30 PM EST
BROOKLYN -1
ANALYSIS: Every model out there, including SportsLine's, thinks the Clippers win close here. Maybe they do. However, they are playing the fifth game of a long six-game road trip and the front end of a back-to-back -- not that they would dare rest Kawhi Leonard or Paul George on Tuesday in this potential NBA Finals preview. I do believe the Clips will miss the defensive tenacity of Patrick Beverley, who is out injured, on Kyrie Irving. L.A. also could be without starting forward Nic Batum (see news feed story). Yes, the Nets have been historically bad on defense since trading for James Harden (he will play after missing Sunday) but they also have been historically good on offense. Back Brooklyn in what should be an incredibly entertaining game.

PORTLAND @ WASHINGTON | 02/02 | 8:00 PM EST
OVER 240
Washington was able to overpower a team on offense alone and have success on Sunday, defeating Brooklyn 149-146. While Portland does not have Brooklyn’s talent, the Blazers profile similarly in how you want to attack a team, and it is likely that Washington turns to the same game plan that encouraged all the scoring in that game. That Washington strategy was to get up shots quickly and inside the paint. The Wizards attempted 108 shots in that regulation win. Teams coming off a regulation game where they attempted at least 18 field goals more than league average are 245-204-11 OU.
PURDUE @ MARYLAND | 02/02 | 6:30 PM EST
MARYLAND -1.5
Purdue is ranked in the AP Top 25 for the first time this season. The Boilers are coming off a big win against Minnesota, covering the spread by 16.5 points. However, Maryland should be pumped up in playing a ranked opponent at home, and the Terps are on extra rest as they haven't taken the court since last Wednesday.
