    ARIZONA @ ST. LOUIS | 02/02 | 8:00 PM EST
    ST. LOUIS -160
ANALYSIS: Arizona has played two road games thus far and lost both by multiple goals. Plus, the Yotes remain without arguably their best player in defenseman and captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson due to injury. It's Jordan Binnington in net for the Blues, and he's 2-0-1 at home this season with a 2.27 GAA. There will be 1,400 fans in the stands - the most for a sports event in St. Louis since March 2020. Arizona has won just three of its past 10 trips there and eight of the past 28 overall in the series.

ANALYSIS: Ja Morant only played 22 minutes in the Grizzlies' blowout of San Antonio last night, Memphis' seventh straight win. In fact, 10 Grizzlies played between 20 and 27 minutes. Memphis is 6-1 straight-up on the road, while the Pacers have won just three of their last eight. Take the points.

ANALYSIS: This is a get-right spot for Kansas. The Wildcats have dropped eight in a row and are ripe for another blowout loss here. They allow 39 percent shooting from 3-point range. Look for the favorite in this rivalry to improve to 22-7-2 ATS in the last 31 meetings.

ANALYSIS: It would be nice to know if Iowa sharpshooter CJ Fredrick will play after missing the last game as he's listed as questionable. However, even if he doesn't go, the Hawkeyes are worth a wager here now that the spread is in single digits. I'm a Sparty fan and they simply don't have a go-to guy this season like a Cassius Winston or Xavier Tillman. Tom Izzo's club has been atrocious offensively during a three-game skid and is just 1-10 ATS in its past 11 overall.

This is not a ‘normal’ NBA season by any stretch of the imagination. One factor that has really stood out through the first portion of the season is the impact of extra rest. Schedules are condensed due to the late start to the campaign, and teams aren’t getting their ‘normal’ amount of days off between games. We’re seeing no shortage of tired legs from teams playing four games in six nights or the moral equivalent thereof. Fresher teams have a legit edge at this stage of the campaign.
The Pacers were gassed down the stretch of their last game, blowing a late lead and losing to Philly. That can’t be a surprise – Indiana has played extended stretches over the last month shorthanded; an overworked roster. They played 15 games in January, seven over the past eleven days. Memphis will deal with the schedule ramifications of their two week COVID layoff later in the season. Right now, they’re as fresh as any team in the NBA – this will only be their third game in the last 15 days.
Yes, the Grizz are on the second night of back-2-backs. But nobody in Taylor Jenkins ten man rotation was on the floor for even 30 minutes in last night’s blowout win at San Antonio. Every quote coming out of this locker room is a positive one right now; in sharp contrast to the growing pains the Pacers have been suffering of late. Live dog here! Take the Grizzlies.

                          3% Take North Carolina (#623)
This is a tale of two teams headed in opposite directions as the calendar turns to February. These teams were originally scheduled to play back on January 9th. At the time, Clemson was 9-1 with the #2 defense in the country. That was then, this is now. Clemson has lost four of their last five, outclassed badly in losses by 26 to Duke, by 19 to Florida State, by 18 vs Georgia Tech and by 35 against Virginia. Their defense has fallen apart; their offense can’t hit shots or avoid turnovers; a team struggling mightily on both ends of the floor.
This Brad Brownell quote after the blowout loss to Duke doesn’t inspire much confidence in an immediate turnaround for this bettor. “Our offense has struggled, and it’s sinking into our defense. Our players have lost their spirit on defense because they’ve lost confidence offensively….Somehow, we’ve got to find a way to be better on offense.” Good luck with that, Coach.
Meanwhile, the Tar Heels have bounced back strong from their 0-2 ACC start, reeling off six wins in their last seven games, including a pair of road victories. The Tar Heels have enjoyed a full week off in preparation for this game, and they haven’t forgotten what happened in their last game against Clemson – in Chapel Hill – when the Tigers pulled off a furious comeback down the stretch & stole the game in overtime. Expect some payback tonight! Take North Carolina.

                          3% Take Illinois (#645)
There’s no home court advantage at Assembly Hall this year. Indiana lost their last game SU as home favorites; knocked off by Rutgers. They lost as home favorites against Purdue before that, barely escaped with a two point win in overtime against Penn State and lost SU as favorites to Northwestern. There’s lots of talk in Bloomington about how the lack of crowd support has had major ramifications in terms of the Hoosiers energy and effort level at home. I’m not convinced that changes here.
Illinois has been winning games and covering pointspreads on the highway; a veteran team with the mettle to hang tough on the road. They’ve won by double digit margins at Duke, Penn State and Northwestern, and they come into Tuesday’s contest off back-2-back home wins; playing ‘Final Four’ worthy basketball on a fairly consistent basis.
Even after their last game was cancelled due to COVID issues at Michigan, Indiana still isn’t anywhere near full strength. Key guard Trey Galloway is out with a back injury, and second leading scorer Armaan Franklin’s ankle is “not healthy” according to head coach Archie Miller, very questionable tonight. The Hoosiers struggled mightily containing Kofi Cockburn and Ayo Dosunmu in the first meeting between these two teams last month; a nine point Illinois victory. A similar result tonight would be no surprise for this bettor! Take Illinois
